Good morning :-)

Here I am and so very touched by the messages and prayers you have sent me. Thank you <3

It has been quite a week as I am sure you can imagine. I have waded through paperwork and phone calls but comforted by the number of cards that are arriving. The funeral is arranged for next Friday morning. I press on, support by family and friends........thank you. <3

Dear God,

You have given me such wonderful blessings. I am rich in so many ways and aware of your love for me. I am so grateful for such lovely friends and family, for their warmth and their love and support. I am blessed by the beauty of your creation that I enjoy each day. And I am so thankful for the grace you have poured into my life, for your truth that guides me, your hope that leads my heart and your love that dwells in my spirit.

I am surely rich
And so thankful.

Cx :-)

Beyond the sunset,
O glad reunion,
With our dear loved ones
Who've gone before;
In that fair homeland
We'll know no parting,
Beyond the sunset
For evermore!

Hello all

Positive vibes to Cynthia and her family for today.

I have this old hymn in my head, and so I'll share it with you all right now;

New every morning is the love
Our wakening and uprising proof;
Through sleep and darkness safely brought
Restored to life and power and thought.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end,
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3 v 22-23 English Standard Version).

Lovely to see you posting, Cyn

You must be so grateful for all the love expressed for G, and the great care shown by the hospital staff towards you all. What a blessing for you and the family xxx

Please don't worry about this thread, take all the time you need to do what you need to do for yourself as well as what you have to do.

This thread will keep going, even I will post occasionally ;-)

It’s good to see you on the thread Cynthia but please take time for yourself and your family. You need space and time to grieve. I hope you can take comfort from knowing that your husband was clearly a much loved man. He will have left a legacy of happy memories for you as a family and for his wider circle of friends and colleagues. God bless <3

Those we love are never really lost to us -
we feel them in so many special ways-
through friends they always cared about and
dreams they left behind, in beauty that they
added to our days... in words of wisdom we
still carry with us and memories that never
will be gone... Those we love are never really
lost to us- For everywhere their special love
lives on. <3

Good morning Cynthia,

It's good to see you here with us, but please take time for all that is needed in your personal life.
How lovely that in the midst of such sadness, the kindness of others shone through and your husband's passing was peaceful.

Continuing to hold you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Good morning :-)

It is so lovely to come back to such kind thoughts and good wishes. I am so grateful for your thoughts and prayers over this rather difficult time.

The last week has been surreal in that spending time on a camp bed in the hospital was very strange. We were treated like royalty - the staff couldn't do enough for us and we were overwhelmed by their kindness. So very grateful to our wonderful NHS.

My husband's death was so very peaceful - again, something to be grateful for. He had been anointed and blessed by clergy friends and we have been surrounded by so much prayer that it's rather like floating on a cloud.

I will try and return each day but, if I haven't appeared by about 2pm, it would be good if someone put something inspiring on here. If we miss a day or two, it won't be the end of the world.

Thank you my dear, dear friends for your support and love <3 <3

for us all,

God, please enlighten my mind with truth, inflame my heart with love, inspire my will with courage, enrich my life with service. Pardon what I have been, sanctify what I am, and order what I shall be. Amen - Author Unknown
