Lots of people have more than one account for genuine reasons Julia, such as doing more than one tree. I don't think that will get stopped.

I suggested removing the RR from free accounts ages ago, as it is blatantly obvious that's where the problem stems from, and they did say it was one option they were going to discuss at their meeting. It hasn't been done, so they clearly decided not to.

As you said, some members claim to have left the site, and indeed have deleted one account, but their other is still live...so it's not difficult.

Anyone on my FB friend list are free to share my botty burp list I've just posted ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

The sooner multiple accounts are not allowed, would also help.

It's a pity GR don't have an automatic 'get a life' email for those who report for mardy reasons.

Just to say I got a personal response when I mailed back asking about what was reported :-D

I now await a response to my reply to that mail detailing the date etc.

Thing is, I wouldnt have questioned it if I knew I was posting on the ruddy board a lot, but I've not been, hence my anger. :-|

What a pitiful small life someone must live, to be trawling old posts to get them purposely RR'd. Pity they have nothing else to do.

Shame on GR for sending you a warning about a post that's so old.

It was one of my *types of bottom burp* funnies, which the genes team also used to laugh at before they reluctantly stopped them some time later, as there were a minority who objected.

I'm very select about putting jokes on here ever since some years back I was suspended over cat jokes, and someone who wasn't even posting on the board that day saw it as a dig against themselves. :-(

Now I keep most jokes for FB :-D

I've also got to agree why near on pornographic content is ignored, and other stuff is reported as breaching t&cs.

It in the main, with genuine exceptions aside, often about the poster...but hasn't it always been ? :-|

It is upsetting Mildred but the GR emails are automatic - even the GR girls who came to the London meet said to ignore them - easily said when you're not the one being targetted.

2004 is just preposterous!!! Maybe someone picking an old thread up on the home page?

As Sue said, it's nothing to do with the content of the post...it's who posted it.

Proof was seen the other day, when several of us on one thread were RR'd...ok one of my posts that was RR'd was a bit harsh, but another simply said 'wanna bet?' while through the thread, Bobtanian was posting links to a porn site...which were NOT RR'd...because he's not one of the targets.

I totally agree with you re. the free members.
But, I would also like to mention the people that have second and more accounts. They say they have left GR on their first account but use their others to do all the 'itchy fingering'. Should not be allowed, as it causes alot of unpleasentness. They keep secondary accounts solely for this purpose.

So..to the RR .if you are reading this, and I suspect you are.

I've now replied to the GR team,after they sent me details of what was removed explaining that you deliberately sought out an old joke of mine from 2004 - EIGHT YEARS AGO to report. It takes some searching to trawl up threads from that far back. :-

I have asked GR to look into it because the reporting is malicious & deliberate :-|

I have also said yet again, free members shouldn't have the luxury of reporting items on the boards which they dont pay to use ;-)
