Were the team worried about losing sleep ......... after all it was the night shift who removed the post the second time AND then removed the thread. I know that, because I was around when it happened

I think this ranks very near the top of the very worst decisions that you have ever made!

Pray tell me why I should continue posting on GR (after helping with thousands of inquiries over the years so you can boast about how good the Community Boards are), if you will remove any post or thread that someone complains about, whether or not it is true, because "it's causing too much work"?

Give me 3 very good reasons why I should renew next week if this is the sort of thing that is going to happen?

Hi everyone - I'm very sorry for the upset this has caused. It has only just come to my attention, but I will be speaking to the team involved and making sure that there are consistent reasons as to when and why threads are permanently removed. This is an awkward situation for us because what some may deem as 'banter', others may find offensive. But this is no excuse for the inconsistent decisions. The boards are meant to be a place for fun, safe and friendly chat and we do our best to ensure this is how they are used but with thousands of posts a day this is can be a difficult task. most boards in recent times hardly move apart from this the general board

today, genealogy chat and find living relatives board have little more than one page of movement and find ancestors has only 4 pages

What needs to be dealt with are the mindless idiots who come on here every so often and cause havoc by clicking on 'Report' for no apparent reason! How and why are they getting away with it??? :-(

many people were popping on the Vaseline thread that hadnt been seen in months and were really enjoying sitting having a laugh,,,,it was all innocent inoffensive fun as well GR team know.,,,,,no T&C were rocked,,,,fastest any board has moved in weeks,
