Ann, I hope you enjoy your dinner and get help with the washing up.
I've made a couple of dozen Sausage Rolls this morning, and the same with Mince Pies. I always like to make them 'last minute' so they will stay fresher longer. And the ham is cooked.
I prepared all my veg., and put into freezer in November.
Just popped in other room. It is sweltering, and OH is sprawled out in HIS chair, whilst the dog is ditto on the sofa, on a cover I might add. Bless.
As usual, I'm in the kitchen, where else. I'm about to make some Clementine Curd., whilst they are in the shops. I made a large jar of Spiced Clementines yesterday, to eat next week with some home made ice cream, as an alternative to another filling pudding.
I absolutely adore Frank Sinatra. Those were the days when music was real music, and singers could actually sing.

I hope you and the other half have a lovely Christmas

All the best

Thanks Julia, The dishwasher will cope with most of the washing up. I have been washing up today as I went along.

Nearly had overcooked turkey Lol!!! We always have a whole turkey which I am used to calculating at so much per 500g plus 20-30. This year we have a crown and read the instructions (as I thought as 20 mins per half K plus 70 minutes. Thought that was strange then, sat here mulling it over went down to hae a second look at the instructions which were. 2o mins PER KILOGRAM plus 70 minutes which makes more sense. Phew!!

Julia Report 24 Dec 2011 16:15

Phew Ann, that was abit close. Skin of the teeth tim e there LOL

I've Done,I've Done, I've Done.

Clementine Curd is now in jars and labelled.

Only this evening's meal to do:-

Saute Potatoes, (already prepared)

Savoury Fried Chicken Breasts (Marco Piere White stock cube rubbed into
skin on breast and fried.)

Chopped Mixed Salad. (with French Dressing).

Then it is a stiff G& T whilst it all comes together.

Telly ain't very good tonight for a Christmas Eve.

I'll be here for another couple of hours, but for those that won't be, Have a Lovely Christmas, and a Happy,HEALTHY and Prosperous New Year.
