Have you stopped to think,,he could have left grateful thanks with the police desk duty officer and its not been passed on or the police didnt inform him who had handed his stuff in ? or at worst the poor man could have dropped down dead the next day.!!! |

I think its commendable that your OH handed in the bag, but come on a big song and dance because he hasnt got in touch oneway or another to say thank you, if he hasnt dropped down dead as Kay has said then whos to say he hasnt lost your contact details or has other inportant issues going on in his life. :-( |

no he didnt actually.but what the hell, how terrible of me to want a thank you for my hubby handing back over £1,000 pounds worth of stuff..a phone call takes a min of your time, maybe its me being selfish by expecting a thank you? :-( |

Sue, no I don't think you are selfish. It is natural to expect a thank you, I wonder if he realises that, had your husband not been honest, as he had written his pin numbers down and the cards were there you could have taken more than £1000. It is worth noting though that it is the rest of us that have exclaimed over the lack of thanks, on her behalf, not so much Sue. |

If it happened to me! it has, no big deal did what I was s'pose to do and that was it.....granted it wasnt £1000.00 of stuff but a pensioners purse with about £60.00 and her buspass. Whenmy mums handbag was handed in at Asda after she left it on a shopping trolly the persons details were given to me and I lost them, I should of been flogged severley with a rolled up copy of the TV times I know Eh ! :-S |
