Thanks girls, I had a text from him, well one of many, and he said he has had a scan and they found clots in both lungs, the pharmacist went to see him this afternoon to talk to him about warfarin, not sure why. No word about coming home yet.

dont worry about the warferin caz,its quite a common medication for the prevention of clots,my sister had it injected into her stomach when she had a clot in the lung age 42,also my brother for a d.v.t at the age of 32 and again at 40.and my daughter age 21 after an emergency c section, sent home after 2days with a box of syringes and a load of warferin to inject herself in the stomach to prevent clots forming.dont worry.x :-D

Oh Caz, I just go off for a few days and things go haywire for you both.
I am so sorry and know how awful it must have been for you to see Philip gaken off in a neena! Glad to hear he is doing well and should be home soon. I will try and call you maybe Sunday evening or Monday evening, as so tired now and will probably have to sleep most of Sunday to catch up with myself.

Had a nice holiday altho lots of rain from Thursday, nice quiet location and fell in love with Sheringham as a town, onl;y been for day trips before (26 miles from here) but staying longer and able to investigate more of it showed me how lovely it is and how friendly the people are.

Take care of yourself and Cocky and lots of love to you and Philip and hope he will soon feel on top form again.

love and hugs

Lizx

It's strange, in a shop yesterday after we left the house we were staying in, and spent another 8 hours around the town with our stuff all crammed in the car, I saw some Angel cards and said Oh Caz likes angels, the one I would have got you had been sold out or you would have had a Guardian Angel card on it's way to you without me knowing you needed a G. Angel.

Hello Caz, Sorry Ive only just seen this as I haven't been on my PC much over the last couple of days.
I hope Phillip is making very good progress.
My mum in law had blood clots in her lungs and was put on warfarin but unfortunately she developed blood clots in her legs as well, she has always had very poor circulation and unable to walk more than a couple of steps in the last 18 months, warfarin soon sorted the clots, so good luck to you both, Phillip will be well again very soon.

Thank you girls it's lovely to read all your messages, I don't feel so alone. I have had a few sleepless nights, wandering round drinking endless cups of tea, I am muddling through as best I can, my lovely sister did my shopping for me yesterday so I have plenty to eat. They are also going to pick Philip up when we hear he can come home, they told him it may be today now he has started his warfarin.
Liz it was Sheringham that my ancestor (my avatar) was sherriff of in 1428, at least I'm almost sure it was. I have my angel locket you all bought me and keep wearing it so I have my own guardian angel with that lovely verse on the back.
Joyce has just rung me and still coughing badly but not quite as bad.
I will go and make myself a cuppa, at least I can still do that.

Love Caz xx

Caz I hope you are managing alright while Phill is in hospital. My Dad took warfrin for seven years to prevent more blood clots / further strokes. He had his blood tested regularly and the dose altered accordingly. He had to go to the hospital at first to get the blood test done (by finger prick) then more recently he got it done at home. He kept a record book which went to the hospital with him, or was updated at home later. I believe some foods/ drinks affect the warfrin, and Phill could be advised to avoid certain stuff. Another nurse told us it didn't matter so there is some confusion there!! But he will be kept under supervision by way of the blood tests. Don't worry it is rat poison but not enough to cause harm, thats why people on it are watched carefully xx
