Liz he will be on warfarin for about six months, he has clots in both lungs due to pneumonia (I think) and they have to be broken down. He is over 60 so has a bus pass, so it doesn't cost him anything on the bus. |

Caz, sorry I didn't get to chat with you last week, but didn't want to disturb you when you were trying to catch up with your sleep. Hope the weather stays ok so Philip can get to the hospital without getting soaking wet or blown off his feet altho if it's too warm I know you suffer. |

I didn't know there were more messages added, sorry. Liz the other hospital is two busses away, he has to go into town then another bus up to the hospital, BRI is easy to get to from here and he hasn't to drive for the time being so it's all busses. He is beginning to look better but still very slow getting around but he will be at home for quite a few weeks so can build his strenghth up. |

Great news Caz, I am pleased for you that you can visit the hospital less often and also not have to worry about the effects of chemo on your feet etc. |

Hi everybody, we were both at the hospital this morning, me at cancer clinic at the top end and him at the bottom end, my sister went with me. The news for me is super, he said the tumour count is really down now so he has stopped my chemo for the near future, I don't have to see him for two months instead of every three weeks, brilliant. Philip is doing well but has to start going to the warfarin clinic at our other hospital on Friday, but he is feeling a lot better and thanks you all for your messages. |

Hello girls, Philip is bach at the warfarin clinic this morning, as he was yesterday, I suppose they will have to get the right dosage for his blood. He is a lot better but this morning said his lung was hurting him where the pnuemonia was in his back. I hope it's not coming back, but someone at the hospital mentioned a secondary infection sometimes. |

Caz ask at the clinic about any foods to avoid. Write down any questions you have and take the paper with you. You will have chance to ask everything you want to know |

I rang Caz last evening but Philip said she had gone to bed early as she was so tired after all the worry of him being in hospital. He said he had never felt pain like he had before he went to hospital but is starting to feel stronger again now. He has to see his gp to get a sick note for work and I think he will be happier when his warfarin dosage is sorted out too. |
