Well, the first one did time (in the state of Maryland, for fraud in connection with a political cult's fundraising) ... so we could call him a metronome ...

UzziAndHerDogs Report 8 Jun 2011 09:52

Many times I think that can't be true, infact If Mother dear thread wasn't mine I doubt I would believe it :-D.

Even knowing that yes I know where you are coming from, but like Rose I give the benefit of doubt ...after all if you don't believe you can ignore

Is somebody questioning how guitarists fall at my feet??

When I'm not tripping on them and falling on my face ... my feet, not the guitarists; them, I try to step around carefully.

Yes, I know, it may seem somewhat less than credible that one person could injure herself in so many and varied and frequent ways, but 'tis true, all true.

As are the No.1 guitarist's various sometimes life-threatening but always annoying little hospitalization episodes ...

I may aim to entertain, but it's true, all true!! %3B-%29

Janey I believe all you say but do so have to grin .it's the way you tell it !

I prefer to keep an open mind when reading the boards. I don't know about porkies, but,I agree, some folks seem to have misfortune after misfortune befall them. But then some folks like to read and commiserate with them. So, each to his own. Personally I like to keep my illnesses to myself, share with a favoured few, or deal with them in a humorous way. `And yes, I admit....I sometimes tell porkies. In fact I only drink Baileys at Christmas time :-D

And this is not a dig at anybody BCXX

With regard to the mother thread. On here was probably the first time anybody believed me when I tried to explain about mine.

We children of narcissists are used to being disbelieved or having the subject abruptly changed and to have others contribute similar experiences was one of the most emotional experiences I have ever had.

Must go now, have to lock the Ferrari and put the unicorn to bed.

I think that most "stories" on here are probably true.
Yes, some people seem to have a little of misfortune, but as we and our friends and family get older, our bits and pieces don't work so well (if at all) ditto for the bits and pieces on our cars, computers, washing machines, cookers etc.
A lot of people seem to have a run of bad luck "it never rains but it pours".

Possibly also if people on the boards had a run of good luck. e.g. got an ideal new jog, won some money, passed all their exams with an A+ had the most perfect partner, children, house, life etc.
The rest of us would think, bighead, she/he is boasting or I don't believe it.

On the other hand, if someone feels the need to fantasize and or attention seek, we can either _ Ignore them. Or give them the attention they crave, wether positive or negitive.
But their little dramas take nothing away from us, perhaps they reinforce how lucky we are to have such easy humdrum lives ourselves.

I know how it must look at times, but I can assure you that anything I have posted is genuine, my health really is poor, but before that i had what was to me an interesting life Some lucky ones keep their health and strenth until very old, but not al of us are so fortunate. I am not thinking that i in partular am being singled out, but if I have a lot of problems , so must others and I deeply sympathise with them.

l know that Jean has poor health and l also know others on here do too!!
l'm sure they're have been some porkies told but on the whole l believe people.

l have been one of those who in the past felt a great comfort talking about my background on here, l don't now because l don't need to, well on the whole l don't!

For alot of people these boards are very important, and probably their main source of conversation with people, so be careful what is said please!!

Take care

I tend to agree with Tess. Some people find 'talking' on here about aspects of their lives helpful and, for the most part, I'm sure the stories are genuine.

Jean, that is a gorgeous cat!

There are some people on here who I believe may be a little emotionally or even mentally fragile.

I try to hold back from anything they write on here because I feel I could write something that may lead them to a worse place.
