Esta you are quite right - I apologise for chipping in - it was knee jerk reaction - as Dawnie said, I thought same old stuff, here we go again, I'll try and keep out of it |

i think its strange you have given her a reply when i came on here last year it was some other named person giving abuse out so you always gonna get some one on here giving it out she is entitled to her opinion ... but she not entitled to a reply lol |

Lol at Elizabeth. I love your definition of an 'Amy' being put among us so we would all feel better and nicer! Nice one! |

I agree with you Julie, but she made me cross and I couldn't help myself. I usually ignore. Dawnie is obviously a lovely, brave lady and she doesn't need hassle from the likes of this unimportant person, whoever he/she may be. Probably the same person you mention from last year, but different name. |

Dawnie, is there no way you can get a stair lift through social services or something? It would save you so much effort and risk. |

Just to lower the tone a bit, a few years back we went to some friends' for Sunday lunch, who lived in a three storey, cramped house. The sitting room was in the basement, accessed by an open pine staircase. Needless to say I fell down the stairs before I'd had even a drop, and I landed on one leg, leaving a nasty deep gash, but with the glass of red wine in my hand completely unspilled. Miracle! |

It appears that Amy has deleted her unkind post with regard to the bottle of wine, so I have deleted mine. |

Yes, Rita, that is useful to know. I'm fortunate not to have had the need to call an ambulance, but this thread has been very informative and I feel forearmed now, should the possibility arise in the future. |
