Its a big help if you can get rid of the smell of smoking out of your house and clothing, you,d be surprised how contaminated with smoke. but you never notice it whilst being a smoker.**M**.

Good for you Sylvia, percevere and you will win,it takes a lot of self control to do it,but if you want to you will succeed.Just think of what you can spend all the money you will have saved, just the cost of 20 a day works out at almost £1800.in a year. Good luck and keep at it.**M**.

Sylvia,
I wish you good luck. The very fact that you say you WANT to do it is important.!
Sadly my Aunty never managed to do it, she would use her nebuliser ? and then have a cigarette.!!
Crazy, but true.
Be strong.

You can do it and yes it does get better. I gave up nearly two years ago after smoking 20 fags a day for 25 years and I feel great. I had lots of support from peeps on here so I would suggest you keep adding to your thread and I for one will keep supporting you 100%
Good luck

Hi Sylvia.

Well done on taking the first steps on stop smoking.

I started smoking when I was 15yrs old, I decided to stop after 32yrs. I honestly wish I had`nt started in the beginning..I stopped totally on the 1st may last year with the help of the patches and I have never looked back..I honestly have saved a fortune in not smoking my house is cleaner too.
