I slice a couple of lemons and freeze them then keep them in a bag and add to drinks in the summer with ice cubes as you don't always want lemon in the cubes.

I bought a smashing ice cube tray that is bendy and the cubes come out so easily. I also have a set of four trays I put in the freezer for cubes or in the caravan fridge as my fridge in the kitchen is the larder type with no ice box.

Hi all,

Yes I have been drowning my sorrows over the football. In my mind the are all over paid, useless articles. They should hold their heads in shame, after that performance.!!!!

Have been in my shorts since 6.30am. had all the Veg done before 7.30. made my cup of tea and sat on the Patio, Lewis woke about 9.30 and came outside with me. Ros made us Bacon Sarnies, and I sat with the paper till midday.

When Lewis went to get the strawberry. He had been beaten to it by the birds. only the stork left.!!!!

I sat and watched the match cursing and swearing, at the performance. when we went 4-1 down I went outside. I cooked dinner for tonight at 6. 30pm. Lewis and Ros didn't eat much, I think the weather is getting to them. Such a shame when I have cooked and prepared it.

I don't think I still have my kartan, but my shorts are getting plenty of use. Some of which I bought in Malta a few years ago three pairs for £8.00 nice soft cotton, that wash up great every time.

Lewis came in the garden this evening when I was watering, PAPPY give me a spray, I'm hot. and there I was spraying him for ten minutes. He then ran in the conservatory shouting NANNY, He's sprayed me and made me all wet, LITTLE B !!!!

All doors and windows still open, Will have to see what the BEER situation is like, running low after all this football hassle.

Our JANE has a fettish then, RUBBER.!!!!! you kinky thing you.!!!!!

Morning All,
Just got called downstairs..........Chester had been sick in the night right in the middle of the lounge carpet!!!!.It was bark chippings and bile.Trouble with the bile it stains ,Have given it a good going over with carpet cleaner ,but will probably have to do it again. We think Chester has been after the bonemeal in the pots!!!!!!

Shame about the big strawberry Frank.Poor Lewis ,,,lucky bird.
I do think the heat make me not want to eat so much.Good thing really lol
Another scorcher today. It's getting a bit much for me now,but mustn't complain.
Don't let that imagination run away Frank.KInky indeed!! We had a little black cat called Kinky lolol
Right off to the patio with my cuppa.

Morning All,

Jane that first post was a bit early!!

OH has been on the phone to the place he bought the liner from and they said they would send another tomorrow. He asked if he should send it back with the driver to which the man said no just take a picture of it.

Now I have to move all the plants I have potted up and we need to get the tank with the fish in on the top by our back door. They are in a big water tank.

Frank Report 28 Jun 2010 11:09

Morning my lovelies,
Another hot one on the cards, shorts already on. It;s saving a lot of washing and irning for Ros, no shirts/teashirts.

Lewis enjoyed his weekend so much, he is coming again this weekend !!!!! I walked passed the computer late in the evening and "SKYPE" was buzzing. It was Lewis with his WebCam on. Just saying thanks for thew weekend and that arrived home OK.

What a bummer Mel, getting all the liner ready and finding that. Better now than after it was fitted. This should not happen, Where is Quality control ???? It's typical of the slap dash attitude of some companies.

When I was out watering last night, I picked and ate all the ripe strawberrys, before the birds got them this morning.
I was sitting on the patio at about 10.pm When a blackbird landed on the table and hopped across to the strawberry, I suppose for a late supper, SORRY, I had, had them !!!!

Ros is at the Drs. Something ====Planis in her mouth, she's had it sometime and makes it difficult to chew her food. And to CAP in all, sorry for the pun, her filling has falled out, and has to go to the dentist this afternoon, Poor love been uncomfortable all weekend.

Trust Chester is over his sickness, what a mess to have to come down too. Our cat sometimes brings up a furball in the corner by the front door, that's bad enough.

Moved all the plants and the big tank with the fish in. Taken pics of the split liner and sent them to the place we got it from. Wacked out now and have to do lunch before going shopping.

I hope Ros is sorted now Frank. It must be very uncomfortable if she can't chew properly
I have got James out doing a massive de- weeding job.He has been at it for about 3 hours now.I couldn't pull up some of the strong weeds so have to pay him a wage lol.He is looking for work for the summer but no luck.
Finally I got some housework done ,not a lot ,but the dusting really couldn't wait another day.So at least the lounge is respectable ,just in case anyone calls lol.The fans are working overtime ,all curtains drawn and lots of iced water going down a treat.I have nearly run out of coffee what with making jugs of ice coffee so am not making any today.
It's very quiet here today.Bet Mandy is sitting her pool !!!,and poor Mel will be doing the shopping.

Jane Report 28 Jun 2010 17:24

Is it me or is it HOT? lol.Shirl I hope your visit to the Dr,went ok with OG.
I have had to up Chesters steroids again as he has been itchy and chewy again today.I think he is quite uncomfortable. He will have a good hosing later we we water the garden.
I was trying to remember how dad watered all the veg when I was little .I suppose it was just going back and forth with a watering can.I don't remember any hosepipe. There was an open air swimming pool not far from where we lived and Dad would take me there with my rubber ring on hot days like this.I think my sister was too young then so would have stayed at home with mum.She probably had a washing up bowl of water to sit in lol. When we were a bit older we would go to the new indoor pool at Central Park by Plymouth Argyle. There were spectator seats raised behind a barrier where parents would sit and watch. When my sister was about 4 I was allowed to take her in while Mum and Dad watched. She got away from me once and ran along the side of the pool and jumped straight in the deep end !!!.I can still see my Dad now vault over the barrier straight into the pool to grab her as she couldn't swim lol.She was a little heller !!.She had no fear and would always be getting into something or other.

School finished early so round they came .

Hubby had taken me to the tip again ,i carn't believe we have so much to dump !! and we took an old mattress and a chest of drawers from sons house too,we called and got some lovely big strawberries, £1-00 a punnet ,so i got four ,we had some for tea and there's enough for tomorrow too.

We had barbeque tea ,hubby cooked so thats was easy .

My word Jane you got up early this morning !! hope Chester is feeling better

Jane Report 28 Jun 2010 20:28

Mandy ,I had no choice of getting up early .OH said "dogs been sick ,he's your dog"!!!!)'m sure you can imagine my language lol
Well done Jake ,I bet he was dead chuffed .I hate going to the tip.but I do on a regular basis .Having to drag bags up the ramps and then having to sling them up and over into the containers!!!!!!!!.There has been a time or too when I can't chuck the bags so high lol and have to ask for help.

MillymollyAmanda Report 28 Jun 2010 20:53

The thing is Jane , if you clean it up yourself at least you know it done properly, if my hubby was to do it i would have to go and clean up behind him !!

Their pretty good at our tip ,they soon come over and help unload , we took hubby's van , but we have to be a bit careful what we take as they will charge for a van £35 to £55 depending on what you take, also they can see its a builders van with all his tools inside and they may think it rubbish from one of his jobs .when we had some rubble from the bathroom we took it in the car as we would have been charged for it .

Jane, your sister in the pool brings back a memory.
When we were children my brother Dennis and I were in the Exhibition Park near the boating lake.We had been fishing for tiddlers.
Dennis was throwing stones into the boating lake and fell in!. He was I think 6, I was 8.
There was momentary big panic as he threshed around. A man walking by literally stepped into the lake that didn't seem to come to his waist.
He got Dennis out and indoubtadly saved his life.
To this day Dennis is afraid of water, yet his wife and 2 children are excellent swimmers.
