I understand exactly what you are saying, Barbara... however, I don't think Brown understood either.... and Tony Blair was from a priviliged background... John Major was a grammar school boy, and Maggie wasn't wealthy, either.

I don't believe in full PR.... but do think this new coalition could work well.

I personally feel that they are both committed to sorting out the economy and Health Service etc. and he is pledging as I type to look after the elderly, poor and children etc...

We have no choice.... so let's suck it and see.

Daff, No, no I wrote it before I saw your friviolity.

I only hope E.R had her dinner before all this. You do wonder if she phoned No 10 today and asked when one might be calling on her to arrange a new parliament, as she was hoping to go out with the corgis on Wednesday.

David Cameron has had his trials and tribulations, everyone does no matter how privileged or under privilaged one is. But he will never understand how it feels to make a decision on whether to eat or put heat on.

I consider myself lucky. I will never have to make that decision either. However I see elderly people who I visit making that decision and my heart goes out to them.

I think a cabinet of all parties so we get the best of what each party has to offer is the best option. I think no one party is good enough to take this country forward.

IPG.... I am sorry, lol.... BC and I were just being a bit frivolous while we wait..... I sincerely hope that this Tory/lib dem partnership works, and long term... we need that as a nation, the stability, to sort out the economy for starters.

I don't think another election in the near future will be good.

I was just wondering if BC and I had time to nip in before DC gets to no 10 and caretake and nosey around, lol ;¬))

I don't think we are talking about a caretaking job.

David Cameron will be declared PM, and will continue until such time as he can no longer command a majority, when a new election will be called.

For those who advocate proportional representation, this is exactly what is likely to happen every time there is an election, no overall majority.

MrDaff Report 11 May 2010 20:27

Well..... you could go and get the Chateau de Wotsit.... I can start ringing around to people who need to sign stuff... you pour... all very civilised.... we'd have the bill passed before we were half way through the bottle.

Could we rush a hefty rise for pensioners through, do you think, or should we tackle the Chateau de Wotsit first....*hmmmm

MrDaff Report 11 May 2010 20:22

It doesn't matter how long BC.... they didn't have time to clear the cellars, lol.... what's the betting there is some good stuff down there, lolol ;¬))

Apart from that, we just pass a couple of laws, phone around a bit and chat with Obama and co... you know, just be friendly... easy peasy ;¬))
