I do not think a tattoo is for me. I have enough 'pictures' on me body with me op. scars, many of which have been there for years. When in hospital and the consuutansts come around with his F1's and F'2s to do morning rounds, they very often get them to do a guessing game as to what operations they refer to. My cesarean scare is a constant source of amusement.
Now I come to think of it, maybe I could have a cascade of falling rose buds put over the four marks left from the key-hole Gall Bladder op. Would love to see the po face of my consultant.
On a more serious note, some years ago, we were knocked up in the early hours by the police, who told us our son had been in a horrific car accident. There was two bodies in A&E in Nottingham, one dead and one alive, and they did not know who was who. So would we ring the hospital. Yes it was abit brutal in those days.
We rang them, and after telling them about our son's tattoos, they were able to confirm our son was the live one.
So, they do have a purpose, and whilst I would not have one myself, would not condemn those that do
Good Luck Muffy

Good luck with your tattoo Pauline.........let us know what you have and how you got on !!!

I'm still pondering tbh........today I'm veering towards a no......not because I don't want it.......but it's the thought of the pain and the needles .....maybe I should wait til they invent a pain free way of having a tattoo before I go ahead LOLOLOL.

I've got a few months to make up my mind for sure anyhow.

Thanks for all the info Much appreciated xx
