I got lost there Suzian lol ...I was looking at a site for a childrens series from the 70s, that I thought few would remember, it was made at Thames TV when my brother worked there,
"Ace of wands"...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101165/

evidently i am not the only one who wishes it would be repeated lol.

I do remember 'Connie' but nothing much about it strangely.

Hi Rose

Wasn't that the programme with Ozymandias? - if so, I remember it well. the beginning of the Indie in the girl. That and Catweazle!

Ref Connie, she (Stephanie Beacham) was the guv of a clothing factory in the midlands, and the series tracked her business and her love life. "It's a love job" is what sticks in my mind

Dear All

Hello

Dear JoyBoroAngel....................great post. What a lot of lovely memories!

Any of the following would be very welcome repeats:

"Hill St Blues"......the template for all american police cop dramas.

"Cagney and Lacey"

"Boys from the bush", starring Tim Healy, set in Australia where
he played a private detective.

"Love hurts", Adam Faith and Zoe Wanamaker, made in 1992.
3 series were made.

Take care all
Very best wishes
xx

I would love to see the Poldark series return to TV. I can recall seeing it on it's first showing but I never paid much attention. Now I have discovered that some of my ancestors are from Cornwall and some of them in the very place, Poldark is based!!

I would dearly love them to start Coronation Street right from the beginning....But I understand that some of the episodes are not for re-release due to legal reasons....what a shame....I remember some of them and also my Mother enjoying what seemed like 'real' life......Tis not the same now though....

No I am not old!....I just have a very good memory as long as it wasn't yesterday :-)))))
