Oooh - Whacky races!!
It must have been on on a Monday, because I was always picking the chicken carcass while I watched it, as mum made a chicken curry from the remains of Sunday lunch!!!

Dear All

Hello

Dear JoyBoroAngel....................great post. What a lot of lovely memories!

Any of the following would be very welcome repeats:

"Hill St Blues"......the template for all american police cop dramas.

"Cagney and Lacey"

"Boys from the bush", starring Tim Healy, set in Australia where
he played a private detective.

"Love hurts", Adam Faith and Zoe Wanamaker, made in 1992.
3 series were made.

Take care all
Very best wishes
xx

Hi Rose

Wasn't that the programme with Ozymandias? - if so, I remember it well. the beginning of the Indie in the girl. That and Catweazle!

Ref Connie, she (Stephanie Beacham) was the guv of a clothing factory in the midlands, and the series tracked her business and her love life. "It's a love job" is what sticks in my mind

I got lost there Suzian lol ...I was looking at a site for a childrens series from the 70s, that I thought few would remember, it was made at Thames TV when my brother worked there,
"Ace of wands"...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101165/

evidently i am not the only one who wishes it would be repeated lol.

I do remember 'Connie' but nothing much about it strangely.

I know Rose........ but it was still one good series.

Another one was the wonderful Connie. Quote below:

"Does anybody remember that superb 1985 drama series, "Connie", written by Ron Hutchinson and starring Stephanie Beacham, Brenda Bruce and Pam Ferris, amongst others? I could never understand why it was never released commercially but, there it is, it wasn't. The series ran to 13 episodes "

Amazing that TV can spend a fortune on rubbish like The Y Bother Factor and leave gems like these dramas untouched, don't you think?
