Hate to me is just non forgiving with no hope of a reprieve intense dislike...........

I wouldn't even begin to try and attach human emotion to what terrorists do tbh....I don't think we've even created a word for what can propel a person to behave in such a depraved way xx

You see, this is where I get confused. Some have said, yes I hate someone but I don't bother with them.

Surely that's just anger isn't it? Hate to me is all-consuming, sparking actions which we may otherwise never consider. Hate is the terrorists who planted the bombs on the tube, or the ones who flew the planes into the twin towers, hate is the suicide bombers who blow innocent women and children to pieces.

And I can't bring myself to feel that level of negative emotion, not even for them. But I can feel anger, even intensely, at the unjustice and stupidity of it all.

I wouldn't HURT them........well.......I may bash em one if they pushed their luck too far....... but I wouldn't deliberately and cruelly hurt them !!!!
Having said that.........I DO laugh when I hear of any misfortune that may have befallen them !!! sorry !!! lol xx

I know who you're talking about Muffy, and you have good reason to feel that way. Still not convinced it's actual hate though, to me, hate produces action that is negative and harmful, and I know, as much as you gob off, you wouldn't deliberately harm anyone lol

Rose, agree, I had a tear in my eye, until I got to one certain line, then I cracked up! LOL

I think maybe the difference between intense dislike and hate is that with dislike , if they apologised sincerely I would forgive them...with the one person I hate, they could apologise forever and mean it...and I still would not forgive them :))

And I am fine with that.

Me either, Muffy. Hate's a healthy natural feeling as long as it doesn't affect your life much.

I must be a bit weird......I don't really have a problem with hating people !!!!

There is someone in the real world I hate and it hasn't coloured my life or made me bitter.......99.9% of the time I don't have to have any contact whatsoever and for the .1% where I do I find the hate very useful ......I have no desire to forgive and forget and feel totally comfortable feeling like I do !!!
xx

Not sure really. Sometimes when I have felt dislike for people it's been so intense that it's probably hate but it doesn't last long with me.

I hated someone but that hate was colouring my life not this person's so now I dislike intensely and also feel sorry for someone who thought the grass was greener on the other side and is now lonely and sad.

I think I should HATE 2 people. Not here but in my personal life. But I am unable to feel Hate. One person I blame for the death of my best friend.I actually had to go for councelling for that .The best thing I ever did.It somehow showed me that hate or anger would actually do me no good.I won't go into the second person as it is too long winded lol.
No I don't HATE anyone .I may dislike them ...then I forget about them ...they don't exist.

Hate as I have always said is a strong word. When I was with my ex husband, he was without going into personal stuff., horrendous to live with, I should have hated him as I am often told by family, but I feel sorry for him. He has "issues" and unless he sorts them he will always be unhappy and lonely.

Me, I escaped from him and am the happiest I can be. No one on here I hate, some I think are a waste of energy...some spout comments and they can't back them up with any "proof", (even if you ask em too..blankl!!)
