I agree utter poppycock! It just doesn't make sense

TonyW, I couldn't have said it better myself. I wonder how long it will take them to reply this time.

What has happened to Gwynne's thread. Re Message to GR?

Last time I looked over 100 people had signed.

Take note GR a lot of your customers are not happy.

So how are we to know where to send donations.?
Why should this low life deny us sending a donation...?
I have pmd Lynda but she must be so busy with us all asking her .All it needed was one little thread..Where was the harm in that?

Hi Tony,
The details of the funeral were removed days before the thread was...so that does not ring true. xxx

TonyW Report 4 Jan 2010 12:03

I've just replied to GR......

Dear Rachel,

Many thanks for your reply.

For the sake of clarity, are you saying that a member of Jean's family or close friend requested the funeral details be removed?

If so, that's fine and we should respect those wishes, but is there a reason why the individual posts weren't removed and the remainder of the thread left? Also, is there a reason the thread originator wasn't notified - even as a courtesy?

Finally, you make reference to a 'new' sticky. Well, 30 minutes from your email and I can't find it.

Many thanks etc....

yes it would, it would be totally and uttery disgusting!!

might not have happened but all of jeans friends are up in the air over whats going on
and her family would have got in touch with lynda direct im sure

so no other explination

as the funral details were not, put on this site, onlyt he date! the explanation of gr is total, bull!!!

so who ever complained did it well enough, but again ont understand why the full thread went and not just the post!!!

oh well of out now for a bit bbs xxx

Muffyxx Report 4 Jan 2010 11:56

I wouldn't put it past anyone to do that Stray tbh. Because if they're small minded enough to complain about a thread like that in the first place then they're capable of anything imho.

Gr need to grow a pair !!!!!!!!

Stray,

Wouldn't that be just awful if someone did pose as a member of Jeans family .

Never thought of that.......!

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 4 Jan 2010 11:47

iv got to agree it was agreed, that the date would be put up
and anyone wishing to attend had to pm for more details, nothing more was put

so there full of sh,...lies

if it was a family member they would have contact lynda direct, so does this mean someone has posed as a family member of jean? and mailed them asking for the removal!

still dont thinkt he rely was good enough! x

well if it WAS one of Jean's family or friends I am sure we will be told by those closest to her won't we...if not ...........

Jac Report 4 Jan 2010 11:40

I think you'll find that Jean's family were aware that "scant" details of the funeral were to be posted here and had no objection. After all , it was simply a date (11th Jan 2010).

I ruddy despair of GR at times cos I smell a rat here.

Ann,
Oh does that mean Jeans family requested it to be removed ?
Or have I misread that message in another way ?

If that be the case .... then we have to respect it .

A crock of manure is that reply: just goes to show that no one on GR actually reads anything and absorbs it properly - unless it's come via the RR button.

It must be obvious to GR that enough people are hurt by this deletion for it to warrant a public explanation of how and why it happened. Let us know if it was the result of a complaint - or, if an accidental deletion - let us see that the GR person is big enough to personally apologise.
