I have nodded off the last few nights then woke up extra early and had to get up cos i could not get back to sleep. I am keeping myself awake tonight by doing some more of my tree record cards, and posting on here as well.

Dear Me!!! I told you lot two days ago the top of the boards had changed. Just shows how much notice you lot take of me. I'll have to put my fairy dress and hob nail boots back on. Have you tried clicking on the words at the top. Don't. Each time I have it has chucked me off the site and I have had to log back in again.

It is flaming freezing (is that on oxymoron), here right now. I'm at work, dreaming of painting walls and cupboards. Just can't wait to get my grubby clothes back on and a paint brush in my hand. You wish!!!!

Going to the footy tonight. It will be a very late night. My team is only one game out of the eight. So if we win we have a chance of going into the finals. Not much hope because we are playing the top team. However if they kick straight and keep their cool it might be possible.

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jul 2010 09:38

Just received this. Now I know exactly what is wrong with me!!

AAADD

KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.....PLEASE READ!

Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder.
Somehow I feel better, even though I have it!!

Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. -
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.

As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys on the table,
put the junk mail in the waste basket under the table,
and notice that the basket is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the rubbish first.

But then I think,
since I'm going to be near the mailbox
when I take out the rubbish anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my cheque book off the table,
and see that there is only one cheque left.

My extra cheques are in my desk in the study,
so I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.

I'm going to look for my cheques,
but first I need to push the Coke aside
so that I don't accidentally knock it over.

The Coke is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the fridge to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water.

I put the Coke on the counter and
discover my reading glasses that
I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk,
but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realise that tonight when we go to watch TV,
I'll be looking for the remote,
butI won't remember that it's on the kitchen table,
so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs,
but first I'll water the flowers.

I pour some water in the flowers,
but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.

So, I set the remote back on the table,
get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then, I head down the hall trying to
remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day:
The car isn't washed
The bills aren't paid
There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter
The flowers don't have enough water,
There is still only 1 cheque in my cheque book,
I can't find the remote,
I can't find my glasses,
And I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all darn day,
And I'm really tired.

I realise this is a serious problem,
and I'll try to get some help for it,
but first I'll check my e-mail...

Do me a favor.
Forward this message to everyone you know,
because I don't remember who the heck I've sent it to.

Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!

Morning All – Hope you all have recovered from various late nights, TV watching, decorating and sick persons nursing. How was the game Aunty? We caught some of an Aussie Rules game last week. Think it was AUK v someone else. Very alien….they have an oval pitch and 3 goal posts at each end, not even a cross bar or net in site!!! Looked more like RU than English football.

We spent yesterday in San Francisco – took a cross town bus to the Golden Gate Bridge. Remember those Steve McQueen films in the 60/70’s when he drove up and down the SF hills? Well that was the bus. Cap that with shiny, slippery plastic seats and we had a fine old time trying not to end up on the floor – lol.

We walked across the GG Bridge, then caught a ferry across the Bay back to SF. We must have covered about 8 miles on foot and are shattered (still).
Today is an easier one…..an afternoon in Berkeley…cos it’s there. Anyone for a sit-in??

No fireman yet, but did manage a photo of a fire engine; think the operators must have gone for lunch. Sorry YG.

Hi everyone.

And why does Aunty have a big cheesy grin on her face and a very sore throat.

Whoooooo hooooooo we won!!! We actually beat last year's premiers and by far the best team in the competition.

Still can not believe it.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/98380/default.aspx

Along with 41,000 other fans I yelled myself hoarse, whinged about the umpires, groaned when my team made silly mistakes, and willed them to stay on their feet until the end.

What a game!

We are now in ninth place, one game out of the top eight which is what we need to achieve in the next six games.

And especially for DET. The goal posts. Four at each end, two very tall ones and two shorter ones on each side. i I I i Like that. If the ball goes between the middle of the two tall (goal) posts the score is 6 points, if the ball goes on either side of the goal posts (between the short (point) posts and the goal posts), the score is 1 point.

And you wouldn't want a cross bar because it would be in the way particularly when the players kick from 50 metres out when the ball goes very high through the goal posts.

There now aren't you glad you asked.

Shopping and then back to renovators challenge for me this morning.

We won, we won, we won, we won!!!!!!
