I missed that Daff, sorry you were upset, that's not on at all.

I have another question. Why does Shep think she's earned respect by putting up a thread which is clearly set to inflame? With comments like she put on there, she then decided it was disrespectful to her for people to ask for clarification?

Nobody earns respect like that I'm afraid, so it's no use bleating about it.

Haha it reminded me of a kid who stamps their feet and demands that all the other kids like em and play with em lol

Gave me a few chuckles, but i'm glad to say i was well in the land of nod by 10pm so didn't see the going of it, not that i would have stayed up specifically anyway, load of old tosh....

Well said Daff & Teresa

" just a few people trying to make something out of nothing ... lol"

Carol, cant you ever post without trying to get a snide dig in ?

The only person making something out of nothing was Shep, who I feel was referring to Gwens thread which was posted hours before to which i answered.

As I said earlier, once it was realized sheps thread wasnt fullfilling its ambition to direct people to Gwens thread, Shep deleted it once you posted your spiteful remark to me on Gwens thread, bringing it back to the top of the board to cause trouble last night..

Its a game you three have played before on the board, same scenario. If you think people dont notice then youre wrong, because they do, and you show yourself up doing it.

Stop being nasty all of you. After all, Shep *is* 68

and, because I can....

twice now Shepherd has very pointedly said she is a 68 year old woman.... why? I don't come on and say "because I am a 51 year old I am this or that " no one else does either...each of us just states our opinion as who we are not by 'rank based on age' as it were....

Daff I saw the remark on your thread....you get as excited as you like about Christmas :))) xx

I'm sorry you were upset, Daff - you of all people. I honestly wouldn't worry about it and certainly not about Jean. There's enough of us to make sure Jean knows how much she is loved. I don't know who Shep is and if she is Mel or not. All I know is that the boards have been just fine lately and mostly because we have all pulled together for Jean's battle. Whatever that thread was about is just stuff and nonsense. Now polish up that wonderful hug of yours and pass it around:-)))

Mwah!!

I am only admitting to 25.... not even the Chinese water torture will make me admit to any more........ I remember at my first meet, someone was shocked, cos they thought I was very elderly, lololol

((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))

Love

Daff xxxxxx

ps, the nasty person was the same person who was, it seems, nasty about me, too, when I was so ill...... how miserable they must be!

I am going to buy some Fairy lights later.... did you know it is *Festival of Lights* on the 17th? I am going to light candles everywhere, as well. xxxx

Outraged LOL at Uggers cheek ( nice boy...but needs a slap from time to time ;) )

I wonder what the most 'difficult' age is? I think its the menopause actually , hormones all over the shop (sometimes literally lol) and at the same time an awareness that the majority of your life has already gone....hmmmmm

xx

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Oct 2009 10:38

I'm also a woman of a "certain age" but - as Uggers will tell you - I look sooo much younger than I am. Oh and Uggs only looks 42.

♥†۩ Carol Paine ۩†♥ Report 9 Oct 2009 10:43

For information only ... there was NO plotting or anything else done by me last night ... I had my mind on more important things!

Last night I received a call to say that a relative had died. (I was not close to this person & do not warrant sympathy, that should go to his family, who as far as I know are not on this site) Those with access to my tree can see who it was.

This cousin was a lot older than me & closer to my older siblings ... that is the reason it was me they contacted ... so that I could break the news to my side of the family, rather than a phone call out of the blue.

I now have the unenviable job of visiting/phoning more of my family to break the news, so may or may not be posting throughout the day!

Awww Rose, don't say that. I'm 50 now, and also often use the 'woman of a certain age' LOL Comes in handy. But to reflect that the majority of your life has gone is wrong. We've got bloomin years yet, and nothing to stop us doing what we want, and learning more.

68 is a random age to keep mentioning isn't it? Most women of that age will say something like 'I'm over 60 you know' or 'I'm a pensioner you know', not keep repeating their age parrot fashion. Something tells me she's really 39 hehehe

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 9 Oct 2009 10:48

Weeellll you could be right TW 39 IS after all a REALLY difficult age you know !!!.........Some people get tattoos, some get their extremities pierced......some just......do odd things on the www.

Makes sense :0)
