Eeeek first ever record I bought was Hold My Hand by Kenn Dodd and the Diddy men, but I was too Young to know better!!! First decent record I bought I think was Sunday Girl by Blondie and 1st 12 Inch was last night a DJ saved my Life I think the band was Indeep.

The Last record (well download these days) I bought was Just Jack - The day I died - prob within the last two or three weeks.

The record i got was a version of the best of Simon and Garfunkel but it wasn't by the original artists. It only cost 59p. This was in 1973.

Hi Crunchy, Maybe a bit before your time (have feeling I've put my foot in it) He was a composer and conductor who specialised in brass band music, (nothing better than a good brass band), born Hebden Bridge Yorkshire, 1902-1992.
If anybody's interested there's 197,000 hits on Google.
