Father Christmas gave me a record player in about 61-2, with it were Wooden Heart, and Gooness Gracious Me, Sopie Loren and Peter Sellors I think.

I can't remember the first single I ev er bought; but, 'Ommadawn' by Mike Oldfield, was the first LP. It was £2.99 I think.

The record i got was a version of the best of Simon and Garfunkel but it wasn't by the original artists. It only cost 59p. This was in 1973.

Eeeek first ever record I bought was Hold My Hand by Kenn Dodd and the Diddy men, but I was too Young to know better!!! First decent record I bought I think was Sunday Girl by Blondie and 1st 12 Inch was last night a DJ saved my Life I think the band was Indeep.

The Last record (well download these days) I bought was Just Jack - The day I died - prob within the last two or three weeks.

Actually Jimmy Young could sing. I was a fan.
When he found he had the gift of the gab and could talk the hind leg off a donkey on his Radio Prog, I lost my admiration for him.
