Hello everyone. Wow,
Thanks for all your lovely messages, I didn't get on here last night I was so tired when I got in that I just had a cuppa and went to bed. Dad looked a lot better yesterday when I saw him, he had had only 2 pain attacks since the night before, one was at 2.30 in the morning and one about half an hour after my brother had left him yesterday afternoon, but they were not too serious. Have not long spoken to him on the phone and the antibiotics have kicked in (we know this because everytime he has them they give him loose bowels hahaha) They are keeping him in again today just to keep an eye on him, so I shall be going up later and am going to hopefully speak to a Dr to find out how concerned they are about the shadow. I have a list of questions to ask as my Dad gets very emotional when they start telling him things and when he tells us what they have said, I suppose he starts thinking the worse is going to happen, so hopefully I can get some answers today.

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR THE WONDERFUL MESSAGES OF SUPPORT, it is really really appreciated.

love
Helen

Well Dad looked 100% better tonight. although he is still coughing up a bit of blood, it's not as much as before and he's had no pains since yesterday afternoon. His temperature has gone down and hopefully they may let him home tomorrow, but he will have to go back in a month to see if there is any change in the shadow. My brother and I got to the ward and the curtains were round the next bed to dad's, the nurse wouldn't let us into the bay as the Dr's were working on the gentleman there and we were asked to take Dad down to the resturant for a cuppa and something to eat as the gentleman had begun to have fits and it was Dad's quick thinking to call the nurse that may have saved valuable seconds, Dad was just about to eat his tea when it happened. After about an hour and a half we went back to the ward and the gentleman's bed was empty. The ward sister came over and told us that he had been moved to the ICU ward as he was very poorly, but it might have been worse if it hadn't been for Dad.

Thank you again for your prayers and thoughts. I'm off to bed now so take care and nite nite.

Helen

Helen, bless your Dad for helping someone else even while he is stressed and poorly. Hope he feels lots better soon and the antibiotics stop causing such other problems, not what he needs right now.

take care

Helen. How wonderful of your dad to leap to the aid of someone when he is ill himself.

Am sending positive thoughts to you and your family, and the family of the poor man concerned.

Morning all,

Dad was feeling better yesterday until he had an angina attack at lunchtime, They had taken him down for a scan in the morning and hopefully we will have some news about that today. Hopefully he may be let out today, but he now realises he is not going to be able to carry on bowling anymore. But he still will be contributing to the club and league as he does alot of the organising of competions and the leagues.

Take care
Helen
