This site used to attract a much better class of WUM - sadly these have neither finesse nor wit...

Sally

Sally Report 4 Aug 2009 23:13

You are sooo right there Sheila, you could have a good old go with them, couldn't you........they make it far too easy now.......almost like a duck shoot.....

It is like Uggers says.....all too predictable, its getting quite tedious waiting for someone to pop up with something to get our teeth into.....

Lindy

Lindy Report 4 Aug 2009 23:13

Or "WORM" ....

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Aug 2009 23:13

Hi Lindy - not worth the hassle is it:))

Sheila - you're spot on. At least we used to have some fun when the WUMs were clever and funny. This lot are just silly.

Fiona aka Ruby Report 4 Aug 2009 23:29

You can't get a good WUM these days for love nor money :)

Sally

Sally Report 4 Aug 2009 23:30

No Fiona, and its hardly worth lurking around for any more.....

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 4 Aug 2009 23:32

I'm not lurking, I was just passing.

Sally

Sally Report 4 Aug 2009 23:38

Not you Fiona,........me..........I used to enjoy having a good lurk, in the good old days when you could get the good cut and thrust with a WUM with a bit of humour.......but those days, alas, have gone........all we have left are no fun at all.......

If I woke in the early hours, you could have a good read and a laugh at them.......but now.......not even a titter.....

Sally

Sally Report 4 Aug 2009 23:42

Ah, but dear Budgie, we come to the crux of the matter, that is the whole point........the Artistry has completely gone, and we are left with the Merchants....

I wonder if it is something to do with the Credit Crunch, or perhaps a lack of vitamins, thus depriving WUMs of the ability they once had.....

Welshy's posts don't interest me. I have found them to be crude, suggestive and vulgar in the past, so I skip past his threads and leave any threads on which he posts, and move on to others.

Have you any idea how it affects a 'show-off' to be totally ignored? Believe me, it works!

Sally

Sally Report 4 Aug 2009 23:56

I agree with you Budgie, although my dear old Dad would refer to the gherkins you would get on the counter of the fish and chip shop 'wallies'...... you know the ones.......all green......and thick.......now, come to think of it...... hmmmm......

Anyway, I am off to take a lurk at facebook whilst I wait to watch a lurkers favourite programme.......Big Bro.....

Goodnight Mr. Budgie, and may you have a good nights'' sleep.....

Sally

Sally Report 5 Aug 2009 00:01

Yes Berona, you are right....

What have I missed? I looked in a few hrs earlier, it was busy didn't see any wums about.

Has Sqwelshy returned to the scene?

Berona

Berona Report 5 Aug 2009 00:28

As part of the 'night shift', I was closing down when I saw three new threads originated by Welshy. I went to bed knowing that there would be deletions for some reason or other - and sure enough - all three threads were gone when I came onto the boards again this morning.

I'm not interested in why - I can guess it was the same old, same old, - just glad they've gone. I don't feel I've missed anything at all. I don't tune into this board to put up with someone having an ego trip!

Stevie

Stevie Report 5 Aug 2009 00:40

Thats a shame Budgie. I had the feeling we hadn't heard the last of him or her.
At least this time he/she was deleted within the afternoon, instead of the four days it was originally on here winding peeps up.

Stevie

Stevie Report 5 Aug 2009 00:56

Cheers mate. Having read through them..........I still think he is a she.

But what suprises me (or not seeing how GR respects threads). That all of her posts or still on here.

Here's a reason for Sqwelshy being a woman...in my opinion. lol

Welshys posting, to Rambling Roses thread about her bad ear;

ha ha ha Stevie, havent 'met' this 'Sqwelshy' at all but you are right. No man remembers things like that (sorry guys!). I have had haircuts etc and my OH hasnt noticed til about a week later. In fairness to him tho he did compliment me (in a man way) about my weight loss; he said 'oooh is that your hip bone'........... mmmm not sure if thats classed a back handed compliment.
