Dutch, hope things will go well for Rachel! I can't understand why they didn't keep her in hospital, seeing that she is also 7 months pregnant.
I know it isn't easy, but try not to worry too much. Hope your legs are feeling better!
Thinking of you and Rachel, good wishes to the both of you.
Sallie.

Hope that your grandaughter is OK.......................... its such a worry for you. I went through similar when my youngest daughter was expecting her 3rd baby last August. All went well for her and I hope that it is for your grandaughter as well.

Love and Peace

Joyce I really can't understand why they sent her home, especially with her being as she is, finding it hard to walk and things. I do hope she goes back if it gets any worse, and why do they only think, they should surely have a scan or something that would show it up?

hi Joyce, can understand how worried you are, all the more reason to get yourself sorted out so you can go over if she needs you there eh?
Seems ridiculous that the hospital didn't keep her in for obs and to thin her blood a little or whatever is necessary. I bet she is like you and won't rest even if told to. I know it is hard for her with two other children.

I hope everything works out ok for her and little one hangs on a bit longer then makes her entrance.

take care of yourself, try not to worry and get youself in a state

Hi Dutch,
Looking in to see how Rachel is today! I still can't understand why the hospital sent her home, knowing that she has two children to look after.
Hope all goes well for her - thinking of you all!

Best wishes, Sallie.

I agree Sallie, even with no children a DVT is very dangerous thing and needs immediate treatment.
I just do not understand it.

How is she today Joyce, have you heard yet?

Sallie Report 17 Jun 2009 16:39

As you say Deanna, a DVT is very dangerous, even when not pregnant.
What on earth are the doctors doing! Dutch, I think if I were Rachel, I'd go back to the hospital, and tell them she want's to see another doctor.
If that doesn't work I'd go to A&E, to see what they have to say about it.

Sorry to keep on Dutch - but you sometimes have to be assertive with these people.

Looking forward to your update about Rachel, later on.

Sallie.

Dear Dutch, I agree, a DVT is not something to fool around with,
One query though, did they at least give her a blood thinner tablet to take, or an injection while there? I'd be heading back to the hospital if there is any question.
Love and hugs,
Mary

Deanna Report 17 Jun 2009 21:44

Perhaps.... grasping straws here Joyce... she may already be in hospital, but then surely her husband would have phoned you.

In the mean time love.... relax and don't get yourself in a state or you may end up in the bed next to her!
Good night, have a good sleep and try again tomorrow.
We have these beautiful babies and the worrying starts RIGHT AWAY... and it goes on and on and on, doesn't it? ;-0)

Good night love,
Deanna XXX
