Hiya.... Just thought I'd introduce myself... I am Daff, joined in 2005, but didn't find the boards until Sept 2006... then *lurked* for a bit!!

I started to post in February 2007.... and shook for about an hour afterwards, lol!! I was terrified, but it was ok, I was mostly treated gently.

Great place to be.... I am a member of lots of sites, but this is my *home*.

For me it has been a fantastic place to make new friends, meet people in the real world, too, and to get massive support when I needed it.

Lots of fun, serious threads, some debates, and some really frivolous, hilarious threads.... the boards are what we, the members, make of it... so stop dipping yer toe in, and dive in the deep end... bit scary, but the water is lovely!!

My name is Barbara, prefer to be called Barb,and have been a member for about 2 years. I have 1 dog, 5 cats and an OH and a very dry sense of humour. Once I'd found the boards after about a year I was a reader rather than a poster so I feel I know a lot of you already, you've made me laugh and cry, and given me a few tips along the way so thanks all for being here.

Am smiling, tis my dear friend Beejay Barb who always gives me such a loving welcome every morning, how is Archie today. Have been up since 5.45am today, later on the boards today so think you'll both have been for your walk already. xxx

I'm Shimms ... renowned for being 'dippy', zany and more. I've been a member for a few years, recently celebrated one year on the boards, have found a long-lost adopted sister here and I luv it on the boards. Have made so many friends, met some for real and have 'a daughter, sisters, bro's and grannies on the boards', many of whom are now part of my family and life where I sit here.

I've had such fun, support beyond comprehension, and so much more here.

Raising my glass (freshly chilled water lol!) to fun, friendship and laughter.

Welcome to all new members ~ Im Mel Ive been a member since well forever but have only been posting since last July when my tree got stolen {lol} I was very nervous at first but I was soon welcomed by all in various ways and love it and it variety of members :~} enjoy this thread its fab! x
