Mo in Kent Report 14 Aug 2013 22:16

No problem Ann, listening to the things yourself, Sallie and Jean talk about, re your card making is fascinating to me, what with big shots, dies etc, the mind boggles.

Good to hear from you our Sallie, it's nice to know you have been a busy bee, just like Huia has been recently.
I am supposed to see the specialist again, before the end of September Sallie, so fingers crossed all will be well.
Thank the lord, I am not in any pain with it. It's daft, but I get a pain from the ovary mid way through the month, just as if I am ovulating, even though that all finished 15 years ago. You never know, perhaps I am going in reverse, and will go back to the dreaded monthlies. LOL ;-) ;-) ;-) (Oh crumbs thats something I would not look forward to.)

Got to see the nurse tomorrow, for the results of my blood tests, to check my cholesterol etc. It's all go isn't it.
Got to get ready for bed now, so I will say goodnight god bless. Love to all, Mo xxx

Just about to go to the hospital for a follow up appointment for the rodent ulcers. Don't look forward to it as I never know what he will do, will he cut or will he not cut?? Not that it is really painful but it is the inconvenience of the stitches and having to have them removed after 10 days. This time it is a bit too close to our holiday for comfort.

Thanks for the info Sallie.

Mo we'll have you card making one day!! :-D

Mo in Kent Report 15 Aug 2013 15:20

Good luck Ann, fingers crossed for you love, whatever way they decide to treat them there rodent ulcers,(nasty little blighters), they seem to plague the life out of you dont they.
Will speak to you later, in the hopes that you are not in to much pain.

I forgot, Our Jean is due back at the doctors today, I wonder how she got on. Lets hope the doc sorts her out pretty darn quick, she doesn't deserve to be unwell yet again, bless her lickle cotton socks, she is soooo lovely.

Sallie Report 15 Aug 2013 16:10

Hi girls, just having a quick look in to see if we have heard from Jean, hope all went well for her at the doctors this morning......hope that the doc has given her some different antibiotics. Will look in again later on.

Ann, also hope all goes well for you at the hospital today. If some of the rodent ulcers have to be removed let's hope that it will be after your holiday.

You are wecome Ann, we went to Derby this morning and bought yet another die.
She has so many makes of dies and embossing folders there, it is difficult to keep away from there.lol!!!

Mo, also hope that the results of your blood test are good. Just hope that it won't be too long before you have your hospital appointment through, the sooner the better so that it will be sorted one way or another for you. It's awful waiting and wondering.

As Ann said, we'll have you card making yet. Trouble is, once you start you become addicted to it.lol!!!

I'll look in later to see how you all got on at your different appointments.

Love, Sallie

Hi everyone,we went to the docs and he said the infection is clearing very well, I took J in with me as I had a problem walking even with my stick ..... it seems antibiotics can sap your energy , didnt have much before...... so I now have to try and get out more and walk a bit each day, I have to have some blood tests in a few weeks time , but he did say even though you finish the biotics it takes a week or so for your system to build up again, so we shall have to be patient..... still havent sorted storage for my smalll stash of craft stuff, just cant be bothered at the moment , but dont give up hope... :-D :-D

love Jean xx

AnninGlos Report 16 Aug 2013 16:10

Hi Jean, you need to try and walk or you could get a DVT if you sit too much. It sounds like patience is the clue, the antiBs will take time to work. I hope that you will soon start to get some energy back. Are you making sure you eat OK? Sending you a ((((((hug)))))).

Been to Evesham Country park today, T's leg is playing up and it rained first thing so he didn't play golf, so then he is bored and we have to 'do something'. We stopped at Blooms in Cheltenham for coffee then drove to Evesham, had a little walk into the country park and picked some blackberries, then into the garden centre for Seniors lunch, chicken and mushroom fricasee followed by sticky toffee pudding (me) and apple crumble (T). Spent son's £20 worth of birthday vouchers on, amongst other things, a photo frame for Luke's photo, a scented diffuser for the bathroom and a pair of legging type trousers, black for Tenerife evenings. T bought another solar light for the garden. then went into the little knitting/crafty shop and they had Christmas peel offs half price, then into leading labels and bought a T shirt and T a shirt. Came home via Tewkesbury, a nice ride in the sunshine. Once the rain stopped about 11 it has been lovely here today, so a good day out. <3

Sylvia, if I'm not too late, hope you have a good and safe journey and have a lovely holiday.

Ann, sounds as though you and T have had a lovely day out. Hope that his leg will get a lot better before your holiday.

Pleased that the specialist has decided to sort out the rodent ulcers after your holiday.

Jean, hope you will get your energy back soon, you know the saying, slowly but surely.
Sending you love and ((((((HUGS))))))

Mo, where are you? I hope all went well with your blood test results and that you are alright.

Take care everyone.

Speak to you soon.

Sallie, I have had a message from Marie in OZ, and she has been having problems with this site as well, Ann has advised her what to do as well.
Marie is suffering from Sinus problems at the moment bless her, lets hope and pray it soon clears up for her.

My blood results were good, my cholsterol is now down to 4.1, all the other resilts were good as well.
Just got to do another urine sample next week, as there was blood in the one I took with me. Oh well, it never rains but it pours doesn't it.

Thank goodness the doctor is going to leave your unlcer till after your holiday Ann, at least that way, the bikini can still come out on your holiday.
It sounds like you and T had a good day yesterday.
We were at a wedding yesterday. It was quite surprising, as it was held in our local golf club. I didn't realise that they were licenced to hold ceremonies, but they are now.
The beautiful bride who is in her 50's, looked absolutely stunning in an ivory gown. Her groom , in his 60's was dressed in tails, what an elegant couple they made.
The ceremony was due to start at 5 p.m, but becuase of late guests, didn't start till nearly 5.30.
All in all, it was a lovely celebration, and quite a late night for little old me, so today I am a bit like a zombie.

Sending my lovely Jean (((((((((((((GREAT BIG HUGS. ))))))))))))))))))) Take it slow and steady my love, build your strength up gradually.

Bye for now my lovely friends, love Mo xxx

Sallie

Sallie Report 17 Aug 2013 23:24

Mo, glad to hear that your results were good, thank goodness for that. Hope the next urine sample you take will be absolutely fine.
It sounds as though you had a good time at the wedding despite it being a late night for you.
Pleased that it all went off well for the bride and groom.

Marie, if you are looking in, hope that your sinus trouble will soon get a lot better.

Ann, thanks, I will give that a try the next time it happens. Hope that T's leg is not as painful as it's been.

Jean, I hope that you are feeling a bit better today and don't feel quite so tired.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

Take care.

Hello, Sallie, Mo ,Ann ,Jean, Silvia, and hello to all the better half's. LOL and especially all who are having Birthdays.
Well girls my friend convinced me I should go to the Doctor , I managed to get in at 2-15 pm to-day and after listening to my chest and looking at my throat he said he agreed with my friend's that I had been sick for too long and he said I needed a broad spectrum antibiotic,he gave me a repeat script as well.

August is our coldest month and it has been very cold this week ,there has been snow around this area and we have had sleet and freezing cold winds also rain.

I am going to have a weekend away on the 6th,7th &8th of September, It is like a retreat for Catholic Women a friend of mine was telling me about it Early in the year and she mentioned that thy needed a pianist so I volunteered my services.

I don't think they do that much praying but they certainly do a lot of singing, as I have been given a mountain of Music LOL

It seems that a number of you are having some health problems I do hope that all will be well with you the next time I write
God love you all my friends

<3 Love and Hugs Marie :-)

Hi all

Mo glad the results were good and hope the urine test problem was just a blip. Probably an infection.

That sounds a very elegant wedding, I don't think our golf club are licensed for weddings. Wouldn't surprise me if theyw ere though, anything to make money!!

Hi Sallie, yes try it, it does work. The boards don't seem too bad this morning but they have been a real pain lately, I am just glad I am not trying to further my tree on here.

Jean, hope you are feeling better.

Where is Huia?? Busy busy??

Marie, Good for your friend getting you to go to the doctor, I hope that the antiBs work for you. It always seems strange to hear that August is your coldest month when it is still our summer.
Enjoy the retreat and the singing.

Mo in Kent Report 23 Aug 2013 20:19

Good evening everyone.
Good news, the last urine sample was clear of blood, yippeeeee. Just waiting for the appointment with the specialist about my scan now, then hopefully I can relax a bit more.

Thank goodness the doctor has given you anti-biotics Marie, you had been so unwell on and off for far to long.
I am sure you will enjoy the retreat Marie, just as long as the other ladies realise that it is a break for you as well as theirselves, and don't expect you to overdo the piano playing, as much as you will enjoy it, you do need a break love.
Sorry to hear that your weather is still not to good, we have tried sending a few sun rays your way, but they keep coming back to us. Whew, it was up to 29c here in Kent today, and very very muggy, headachy weather.

I know it sounds strange Ann, but I heard today, that another young couple we know, are getting married at the golf club tomorrow week. And to think that we never even knew they held the ceremony's there till last week.
I suppose a lot of clubs will start to hold them soon, as it brings in extra revenue.
We were able to watch quite a few people having rounds of golf, whilst we were looking out over the balcony. I didn't realise that people played so late in the evenings either.

Sallie my lovely, how the devil are you keeping nowadays? I hope the family are all well, and that Aluns not working to hard, bless him. Just wait till he retires, you will probably wish he were back at the grindstone.
Have you had anymore luck with your move yet?

We are both exhausted this evening. We had Lilly for a couple of hours this afternoon, and we decided to take her to the park, whew, we have got muscles in places we have forgotten about.
Little one decided she needed pushing on the swing for ages, then we had to go on the see saw, followed by the slides. She thoroughly enjoyed her little self, but the two of us were really cream crackered by the time we got home.

No news from our Jean. I do hope she is o.k.

I must go now girls, love to you all, Mo xxx

Hi Girls,

Have had a problem getting onto GR over the last few days, just haven’t been able to get on the site at all.
Now I have, it is very slow....it’s a right pain in the neck.lol!!
I’ve also been busy making anniversary, birthday and Christmas cards.

Mo, pleased to hear that your urine test was all clear. Let’s hope that it won’t be too long before you get your appointment with the specialist and that everything will be alright.

Glad that Lilly enjoyed herself at the park, although both you and Roly were cream crackered.lol!!

Marie, thank goodness your friend made you go to the doctors....hope that the antibiotics will start kicking in over the next couple of days and that you will start to feel a lot better.
As he Mo has said, I’m sure that you will enjoy yourself at the retreat for ladies. Hope it all goes well for you and that the weather will get at least a bit warmer. Take care.

Ann, I took your advice when the error message came up when I tried to post, brilliant it worked. Thank you.
I can’t remember when you and T go away, although I know it’s quite soon. Hope T’s leg is feeling a lot better now.

Jean, I hope that you are getting better....it seems ages since we heard from you. Also hope that J and D are alright,

Huia, I hope that everything is okay with you. I expect you are busy at the shop.

Sylvia, hope you and OH are enjoying your holiday with your S in L.

Alun and I are going down to Richard’s over the weekend, until Monday night. Both he and Christie are off on Sunday and Monday, so it will be nice to spend a couple of days with them.

Well girls, I’ll say goodnight, speak to you all tomorrow.

Take care.
