Mo weren't you 'breaking up' with your darts team or did I imagine that?
We trust our local man completely, he is lovely and such a clean worker so we know he will get us the best deal he can. The rain got to his brain yesterday (his words) and he forgot to call round. He says the doors are a dead loss, can't be fixed. It is two narrow doors to make one door if you see what I mean. He is going to send an estimate. However we can't complain, we have been here over 20 years and the doors were here a few years before that.
I hope you can soon resolve the situation with your daughter, family feuds are so sad. Does she hold grudges?
Sallie, I am so pleased that you have stayed. I think you need us and we need you. Yes we had a lovely time in Dorset and the wedding was the icing on the cake. :-)

Hi Mo,
Well done on winning last night, keeping my fingers crossed that the winning streak will continue.
Sorry to hear that things are still not right between you and your daughter, it's such a shame. Let's hope that she will come to her senses when she receives your birthday card and flowers next week.
I went to see the doctor yesterday morning, he has put me on some new tablets, so I will have to see how they go. I have to go back to see him in three weeks time, just hope that the weather will be better then, than it was yesterday, it poured down nearly all day.lol!!!
Hope you and Roly will have a nice relaxing time tonight with your son and daughter-in-law.
Love, Sallie.xxx

My word Ann, you have got a good memory, yes our team on mondays were going to fold, but, my friend and I decided that we would stay with them this year. And besides, Eve and myself enjoy ourselves in our own way, we are the gruesome twosome really. Roly does the book for the team, so he gets a night out as well
As far as my daughter goes, yes she does hold grudges. She didn't speak to her sister for nearly two years, and when she did, they nearly knocked seven shades out of each other, and this was caused by the stubborn one.
Sallie, I hope the tablets start to work quickly for you sweetheart. There is nothing worse than the old black dog wearing us down as it does, it then becomes harder to get back on track doesn't it. ( I am speaking from experience here, been there, done that, and bought the t/shirt unfortunately.)
We had a lovely meal with the family tonight, I had a rack of ribs, corn on the cob, and jacket potato's, with a big plate of salad. I just couldn't force a dessert down, I was so full up.
Speak to you tomorrow girls, love to you all. Mo xxx

Sallie, I start at the new shop next Monday. Others started on Tuesday and the rest of this week. Last Monday I spent helping to dismantle shelving and packing things.
I went to town again yesterday (Tues) to get 4 photos printed 8" x 10" for the photo competitions next Mon night. I then went to a picture framer to sort out mounts for them. I bought a big sheet of stuff for the backing and the woman is making the cardboard frames to go over the top of the pics. It is costing me, despite the discount she gave, but I can re-use them for future competitions. The camera club meets next Mon night.
I must go now and cut the backing board into 4, the right size. I will go to town tomorrow to pick up the frames and assemble things.

Sallie, hope the new tablets help you. I expect you have to give them time to work into your system though.
Huia, good luck with the photo competition. What are the photos of?
Jean, what a shame the weather was so bad for you. Makes me realise how lucky we were in Dorset. Checking the forecast for Tenerife it looks as though our second week will have rain unfortunately, thought they'd had it fine for too long.
I haven't e mailed you any photos yet. Some of the wedding photos are on the photo blog.
I will sort out some of Dorset for you to see.
Mo, glad to had a good meal, was the stubborn one there?? :-)

Hello Jean and Ann. Nice to see there is still some life in the thread.
Ann, I am not looking for prizes or points, just want to see what comments are made by the judge on my photos, in the hopes of improving things in future. We can enter 2 photos in the open section and 2 in the set section. This month's subject for the set section is 'wire'. I took a photo (several actually) of some razor wire round the top of a gate, and cropped it and adjusted the angle and lighting until I was satisfied that I could do no better. The other photo in the set section is one I took about a year ago of a log-hauler just up the road. There is a machine with a tall pole on the left with a lot of wires going diagonally to the right, over a pile of logs which have been hauled up. Not a particularly spectacular photo but I thought it would be a bit different from a lot of the others that people would put in.
In the open section I used a photo I took a couple of years ago of a set of stairs on a bush walk, with the native plants growing up the sides. I also used a photo I took a couple of weeks ago in the botanic gardens. I had noticed what looked like a double poppy in 2 colours, red and yellow. When I got closer I found the yellow one had leaned over and was resting in the red one. There are also some rain drops in the yellow one, so I titled it 'dont worry, I have got you'. I might put my photos on facebook after Monday night. My avatar I am probably going to use next month when the set topic is 'blue'.
I am off out again today, so must get moving. Tonight we move our clocks forwards an hour, so I could be on earlier, or is it later? I get a bit confused at times, but then I suppose you will soon be putting your clocks back an hour just to make me more confused. :-| :-S

Helloooo everyone, thank goodness I am able to get onto here at long last. I have been without my laptop since last Thursday, due to lots and lots of Trojans and viruses by the millions. No more games on facebook for me from now on.
I will try and pop on later to speak to you, but I have darts tonight, and loads to do before that.
Good to see you home our Jean, but sorry to hear the weather was so bad.
Love to you all, Mo xxx

I went to the camera club last night with my 4 prints. I got an Honours for my photo of the log hauler, and Highly Commended for 2 of my other photos. Much better than I expected to do, although the judge did make comments on improving them.
Today I need to go to town to see if I can get a decent photo of myself to put on the Hospice Angel website. :-0

Jean please send Caz our love when you next speak to her. I hope that you and J are getting back to normal after your holiday. I am getting fed up of all this wet weather we are suffering at the moment. Plus, it's turned sooo cold, that we have now resorted to having the heating on all day.
Surprise surprise, we won at darts last night, good grief that two weeks on the trot lol.
No news from Sallie, Ann, Sylvia,Marie, Joyce ,Jude,Lorraine and our other many friends. I hope you are all well.
Take care everyone, love and hugs Mo xxx

Hello girls, Well what do you think of this dozey mare, moi. I am sitting here with a badly sprained ankle, after collapsing on the floor yesterday. Our doctor has said it was caused by the simvastatin I am on. I have been getting pins and needles in my foot for a few weeks now, but yesterday, I stood up to make a cup of tea for us, and didnt realise that I had no feeling at all, in my foot or leg. When I put my right foot to the floor, I ended up in a heap on the carpet. The doctor has now taken me off the tablets and has given me a new one to start tomorrow. I had to go to the doctors in a pair of flip flops, as I could not get my shoe on. In this weather thats not a good idea at all, brrr my poor little tootsies were frozen.
Jean, our littlie Lilly, is also suffering from the terrible twos, even though she is not two till January. She can scream for England when she wants to, especially if she doesn't get her own way. She still doesnt have a regular bedtime, and can still be up and running around the house at midnight. Coooo I can just see me putting up with that cant you. Little madam would have been in a routine ages ago.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Special thoughts for our Caz. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Jean, my lickle love. I have been on these tablets for the last six months, and recently I have been getting pins and needles in my right foot, and not thought much about it. But having that fall yesterday made me check my medications, and lo and behold, sure as eggs is eggs, my symptoms were identical to one of the side affects. I was like a real drunken bum, when I ended up on the floor, talk about legless. I wish it were alchohol that had caused it believe me, but I aint touched a drop of licker for donkeys years. I cant even have a piece of tipsy cake, for fear of being drunk and disorderly in charge of me shopping trolley. lol Love <3 and (((((HUGS)))) to you both. xxx

Just peeping in from our sunny balcony overlooking the sea in Tenrife. We are on B and B here so feel pretty stuffed at the moment. Plus side is no need to buy lunch.
I see you have been throwing yourself around on the floor Mo. hope the new pills are ok. Which ones are they? Strange as I am on Simvastatin and I do sometimes get pins and needles in my right foot. Hmm!
Sorry to hear that Caz is poorly. Please give her my love when you speak Jean.
Speak again soon.
Well done Huia with the photos.

Oooh Ann, you lucky girl, being over there in the sunshine. No wonder Jean and myself are so jealous, it's rotten here again today. My winter woolies and jumpers are being worn already, coz it's so chilly willy outside. Ann, if you check on the leaflet of your tablets, it does say about one of the side affects could be pins and needles, or as in my case paralysis in my legs, or it could affect the arms. Just get it checked out if it continues love. Enjoy your holiday, and send a little warmth our way purleeze. :-D :-D :-D
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 loving thoughts and prayers for Caz. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I am being spoilt rotten by Roly, but am feeling so guilty having him run around after me. He is doing a curry for our dinner tonight, following my instructions of course lol I wont be out to darts tonight, I will look rather stoopid trying to throw darts and keep my balance at the same time, I would end up on the fllor again, and am not prepared to take that risk. Take care everyone, love Mo xxx
