I went to a choir concert today. It was great fun. It was called 'The olympics curtain call'. Before the audience was allowed into the church, one of the choir members came to me with a slip of paper and said they wanted an audience member to take the oath on behalf of audience and spectators, would I do it? So I said yes.
When the audience was seated one of the choir members said the oath for the choristers, then the conductor said his oath, then I was called up. I had to say : On behalf of all the audience and spectators I promise that we shall commit ourselves to ensuring the success of this concert and that we uphold our end of the bargain. We will engage in the spirit of concert, cheering, applauding and laughing at anything even remotely funny at all times. (At that point I looked at the conductor who was beside me, and gave a deep chortle - I think I took him by surprise, he wasnt expecting it). It continued: It is likely that most of the audience are taking performance enhancing drugs and steroids, but...that's normal these days and nobody else's business. I will ensure fair play is upheld in accordance with the fundamental principles of (the choir's) concerts and while some swearing will be tolerated, sleeping is not an option.
The choir sang songs from shows representing various contries. They were all enjoying themselves and I think the audience did too. I certainly did.

Coooeee girls, Sorry to have been missing since last weekend, but I have had no laptop again. I got seven viruses between the 9th and 14th of this month, and my whole system went haywire. Anyway, I have had an extra gigabyte of memory added, and a new Mc Afee security put on, so hope fully baby will stay safe for a while.
Jean, both of us are not to bad thank you. It's been a busy few days, sorting things out with our son, in readiness for the wedding at the end of the month.
Continuing our chain of love and prayers for Caz and Jeniwren. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hello Everyone ,it is Marie from Down under, well I have had a lot to catch up on, and I can' t possibly remember it all. Firstly Sylvia ,it is nice to see the picture of your cabin, I am pleased to hear you have finally had some warm weather . We had snow showers here to-day rather cold Brrrrrr, it is now raining steadly.
(Virus' )so far I don't seem to get any on my computer mind you I have all the Anti goods, I can get and I accept all the updates for them. I am also on face book but have never played games on it, not into that sort of thing and I just don't have the time.
Huia, The concert was well organised and so clever it would have been so much fun. My Singing for Pleasure group, has been asked to sing at a concert on the 27 th of October, it will be the first time they will sing in public, they are ready but I hope they don't have too many nerves. We will be doing 3 songs 1st will be " Perhaps Love "by John Denver 2nd "Sukara Sukara " which means"Cherry Blossom" It is a Traditional Japanese Folk Song we will be singing it in Japanese. The3rd Song is " Panis Angelicus" ( O Lord Most Holy) which we will sing in Latin. they have done very well I am extremely pleased with them as most have never sung in a choir..
It pleasing to hear that you Jean seem to be able to manage your Vertigo, it is is such and awful thing to have. I have not had an attack for years , Thank you Lord.
Dutch I do hope your Son and Grandaughter , will be on the mend soon it is such a worry for you all . I hope that you are well, love to you .
Dear Caz how is the chemotherapy going I do hope the pills keep the Nausea at bay.Love to you Dear Mo, Sorry to hear about your Granddaughter , what a shame she is not strong enough to be rid of him, she needs counselling, it will only get worse and it will affect the children. Sallie and Ann you sound busy as usual with your craft work . it has been too cold and wet to do much gardening but I have managed to prune all the roses I have daffodils in bloom ,Azelia's Polyanthus and Primuler's ,I have cabbages, lettuce and Spinach. I must be off l am rather cold <3 Love and Hugs Marie :-) <3

Marie, it looks like your post was sent after all, but it arrived after your second one lol. Look I know you live down under, but surely that doesn't affect your posts on here as well. ;-) We are all well pleased with the medals won by our Olympians, they were so well deserved. It does sound strange that you have Daffodils in bloom, as ours bloom much earlier in the year. Would you like us to send a few days of our heat over to warm you up love, we are just not used to it, and it's so uncomfortable at night times.
Things have been pretty hectic here. I never thought our son would be going through our selection of C.D's for music for his wedding, but he has. Because it's a registry office wedding, they are only allowed background music, but no words at all. They have chosen four classical tracks, and I am well pleased with their choices. I have got all the table flowers to get sorted for them. The balloons are ordered for the archway over the bridal table. I am very lucky as my neighbour is making the cake for us. S wants Lillies on the cake, in Deep Purple to blend with the colour of the bridesmaids dresses. The venue, disco, flowers, registrar is all paid for now. Our son has booked the honeymoon suite for them as a surprise for S. as well. Cooo it's getting exciting now.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Keeping up our chain of love and prayers for Caz and Jeniwren. Thinking of you both, and sending ( BIG HUGS) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I hope everyone has a nice weekend. Sending you all my love and best wishes Mo xxx
