Hello gels, Well I have to admit, I hadn't guessed at first that dejay was our Jean, but then got to thinking to meself, how come this stranger knows so much about me. I thought we maybe had a GR mole amongst us, or perhaps she was working for MI5 or something like that. But then my past is not that interesting, so poo pood that idea. Oooh she a wicked little minx isn't she, ( but dont tell her, we love her anyway, and will forgive her )
Lorraine, many of us would like to trade our bodies in for a new one, we've all got bits that dont work as they should, and in my case, I think when I was made, they didn't add a brain, and threw away the mould afterwards, there cant be many as scatty as me.lol We all accept each other as we are love, and if we say something out of turn sometimes, it doesn't really matter, we are what we are at the end of the day, and not one of us says something to hurt or offend the others intentionally. So just be your own lovely self please, and dont worry.
Oooh Linda, sorry to hear your daughter was feeling unwell, but how great to have little man all to yourself. I loved giving our babies a bath, and the smell of all the John*ons products on their fresh clean skin is lovely. I think I used to be hooked on the smell of baby powder, when my children and grandchildren were tiny. ( Yes strange woman arn't I ) Even now, I like to smell nice and fresh, cant stand smelly sweaty bodies, especially if it's a hot day, as it's been just lately.
If I don't come back later, you will know I am away to my darts, but I will return tomorrow. Take care everyone. Love Mo xxx

Oooooo Lorraine you saucy minx, fancy leaving the evidence behind, tut tut, you didn't have a good teacher did you love. Our Jean taught me everything I know, but I was never quick on the uptake, so she left me behind still trying to fathom out what she was on about. lol Never was a one for fancy goods me, no, my navy blue knickers from my school days had to do. Weeeell I had to put me hanky somewhere didn't I. Never a dull moment, if my OH got bored, he could read the weekly news on my BTM from the news print. This was off course before they put toilet paper onto rolls, and im indoors got fed up of cutting those little squares out of news paper, and hanging them on the nail in the toilet. lol ;-) I'm going now, before Jean tells me orft mwah Jean luvs ya. Byeeee everyone.

Sorry, missed a couple of days on this thread although have been around a bit on other threads. Wednesday was out most of the day. Yesterday was out all morning then when we got home had a card from my cousin's husband telling me that my 80 year old cousin had died on 29th, peacefully. She had had heart failure for quite a while and not been a well person for many years. However she was the one cousin (Our Mum's were sisters) who kept in touch, we used to exchange letters by snail mail, she was the last person with whom I could share memories so it is quite upsetting to think she is no longer with us. So I spent the afternoon making a card for Fred and the family.
T has gone to golf this morning ans dso far I have done a load of washing, including stripping the bed, and cleaned the bedroom. Now just off for a walk round the shops to collect the papers.
Jean not put the photos on yet as I have not had time. :-) :-) :-)
edit to say my cousin was actually 82 so a good age really for somebody with so many health problems.

Well, well ,well girls, See I told you our Jean would tell me off, but blimey girl, did you have to tell them about my liberty bodice, and Union Jack knicker bockers. ;-) And Jean, sorry that you lost your 20p bet, if you had just put a place bet on me, you would have done o.k, I won my singles, and my partner and I won our pairs, and our threes won as well, it was the others that lost. ( Ahem move the door posts so I can get my head through will you lol ) Over all we lost 6-5 so thats not to bad, coz every point counts.
Ah ha, so it's you who are taking over from Clin*on Ca*ds is it Jean, no wonder they closed shops down, they had heard of your expert skill at card making, and couldn't compete. Have they closed them in your area, Clin*on Car*s I mean? Two different card shop have closed here recently, here one day, and gone the next.
Ann, sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin. But 82 was a decent age considering she had the heart failure. May she rest in peace, and the good lord bless her and keep her safe within his arms. I am lucky that I still have one aunt alive, even though I have not seen her in years, and have several cousins left. Three I will never get to meet, as they live in Australia, and I didn't even know of their existance till the last few years. Such a shame that my Dad didn't keep in contact with his three sisters, or we may have had more contact earlier on in life.
Enough of my waffling.
How is everyone today.....are we all excited about the celebrations that start tomorrow. In my case, it will make no difference whatsoever, no street parties to attend, no BBQ's to go to,the Queen of our house will not be celebrating, I shall just keep my eyes on whats occuring on the goggle box. lol
See you all later girlies. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Rained overnight here but has been dry all morning, hope the rain holds off for the pageant.
We went to a garden centre this morning for coffee and bought a few more plants (as you do). This afternoon I shall probably watch at least some of the pageant. :-)

Hi there everyone, Just back from the Jubilee Celebrations at our club. Loads of free food, a disco, the whole place bedecked with flags, and not a lot of people to enjoy it. What a shame, but I dare say people had made their own arrangements for the day. But we enjoyed ourselves all the same. It's been raining all day, and I do feel sorry for the families who are holding street parties. If they have got marquees/ large tents I dare say they will still be able to enjoy themselves. At the moment I am watching her majesty enjoying the pageant. I must say she is looking very glamorous, and never seems to age, even though we know that she is 86, her looks belie that. We have nothing planned for tomorrow, so I hope to be able to get back and see you. Bye for now my friends, take care. Love Mo xxx

Thoroughly enjoyed the River pageant this afternoon, Didn't the Queen and Prince Philip do well, all that time standing in the cold?
Thought the Alan Titchmarsh pageant this evening with all the beautiful horses was fantastic, and didn't the Queen enjoy it too. Great day with all the celebrations and being British, stiff upper lip and all that, the weather didn't spoil the fun did it? Although I was glad it wasn't me out in it. Wasn't the singing of Land of Hope and Glory great? and did you see the Royal party bobbing up and down to the Sea Shanties?? :-D

Hi all
Ann .... sorry to hear about your cousin. My sympathies to you, and her family.
we had a nice little break .... we drove up to Whistler on Friday afternoon. That's where the outdoor events (skiing, bobsled, etc etc) took place during the Winter Olympics 2 years ago. Actually, we didn't the mountains most of the time ........ the cloud was too low :-D
But we had a lovely time, and came back on Saturday.
There hasn't been very much organised over here for the Jubilee.
Front covers of the newspapers have got a huge picture of the Queen, and articles throughout. So have news magazines.
There are items on the news.
The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp.) carried the River Pageant live .............. it started about 4 am our time. One of our radio stations mentioned it, so I got up and turned on the TV at about 8:15 am.
It was fun to watch, but what rotten weather! Did enjoy watching the Royals dancing to the Sea Shanties!
Take care everyone

Glad somebo0dy else noticed the Royals bobbing up and down Sylvia.
thank you for your condolence, only one older cousin left 'above' me now.
Yes the weather was atrocious yesterday. I felt sorry for all those poor people who had organised street parties but i suppose we should be used to it.
Please to hear that you had a good break. :-)
