Good morning from a dry, bright and sunny Derbyshire. Oh, it's great to see blue sky again.lol!!
Linda, pleased to hear that your grandson is doing well. I'm sure that reflux problem he has will sort itself out as he get's a bit bigger. My friend's son born four days after Richard (my son) had the same problem.....he wasn't gaining as much weight as the health visitors at the baby clinic said he should.......he's now aged thirty, a strapping young man and over six feet tall.
I wish I could concentrate on knitting or crocheting again, it's not such a messy hobby as card making.lol!! I have to go through my card making stuff again, it really needs sorting out.....trouble is I need to buy more storage boxes again before I start.
Sylvia, lovely to hear from you and to know that you and your family are all OK.
Hope you and OH enjoy your five days away and have some good weather too.
Caz, glad to hear that things aren't too bad for you at the moment. Have you heard from Joyce lately? Another week before she goes to the hospital for blodd tests and xrays......hope they will be able to sort out the problem for her. I know she is hoping to come over at the end of June and also to have a meet in Sheffield. Just hope that she will be allowed to fly towards the end of June...fingers crossed.
Puss, how are things with you today? Hope you are OK and that you also have it dry and sunny there today too. How are getting on with your bracelet making? I haven't been able to do any cards since I pulled the muscle in my chest last Wednesday. It's slowly improving thank goodness.
Ann, glad to hear that the weather is lovely for you in Tenerife and that the rain only lasted the one day.Take care and enjoy yourselves.
Mo, how are you and Roly today? Hope you are both alright. Are you playing a darts match tonight? Good luck if you are.
Well, I must get a couple of jobs done now, will speak to you all later on.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello everyone, how are we all today. I had a lovely E.Mail from our Jean today. She sends you all her love and best wishes. Caz, can you ring Jean at sometime, when you have the time, for a chat. There is nothing wrong so don't worry, I just think she is missing your chats, bless her. Sallie ,Jean sent you an e.mail to your new addy, but she's not sure if you received it.
Sylvia, if I don't get a chance to say it before you go away, or I forget( and thats more than likely) have a lovely break away. It was good to hear from you love, I was getting quite concerned when we didn't hear from you.
Cor love a duck Ann, running round in shorts, you brave girl. You wouldn't be able to do that here just yet anyway, you be more likely to need welly boots and a rain mac.
Hi Sallie, No darts tonight, the season has finished for the monday league, till about September time. Still playing Thursday nights though. Hows things with you and Alun going. When is your next meeting with the counsellor? I dare say she is helping get you one over on the old black dog. Just what you needed isn't it love, someone to talk things over with, who is non commital, and unbiased about things.
I think I saw a thread from Puss, saying she is to be a grandmother. Thats great news isn't it girls. I bet she is made up about it.
My youngest grandson, went to his first ever night club on Saturday night. My son put a message up on face book about it, he was saying how he is now feeling old. lol This is when the worry starts for him, lets face it, we have all been there, done it, and bought the T/Shirt. My grandson is only nearly 12, but they seem to start so young these days, going out clubbing. And with my son being 34, he is feeling old, huh, that makes me feel ancient. :-S
Well my lovelies, I will say cheerio for now, and hope to speak to you all tomorrow. Love Mo xxx
Caz, I hope you are bearing up my love. Thinking of you, and hoping the pain is easing a little in your ankle.
Ooops, I forgot to say a BIG HELLO and ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) for Jean xxx

Mo, thanks for passing Jean's message on. I've actually managed to get on to my e-mails this evening, so seen Jean's message, I'll reply to her after I've finished on here.
It's nice to be able to talk to the Counsellor again, there are one or two things that have come out that I didn't think had anything to do with the cause of my problem, but now I know they deffinitely do. Just have to learn how to deal with these things now, but I'm sure that with her help I will.
As you say they seem to start clubbing a lot younger these days, even younger than when our own children did. Oh, it certainly makes me feel ancient too.lol!! Did he enjoy himself with all his mates? Bless him too!
I'll have to look at the threads to see if I can find the thread from Puss, I bet she's over the moon.
Caz, hope you aren't feeling too bad at the moment, I'm thinking of you.
Hope all our other friends on here are alright.
Speak to you all tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Girls, thought I'd nudge this thread up a bit, it was on page five. I have had a lot of trouble getting on here and a couple of other threads from last night through until about 45 minutes ago. I wish GR would sort this site out.......kept getting the Error message, so hope I'll be able to post this OK.
Mo, hope you'll have a good match tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Puss, how are you getting on with making your bracelets? Hope you are feeling better today.
Sylvia, hope you and OH are enjoying your break away for 4-5 days. Let's hope you are getting good weather.
Ann, if you are looking in, you are lucky that you are missing all this lovely British weather we are all having.lol!! Hope that you are both enjoying the break.
Caz, hope you are feeling a lot more comfortable and that your ankle isn't too painful at the moment.
Linda, love the little baby hats and coats that are on Ann's blog. Do you have a special pattern to make them, or are they just first size?
Well, if this site behaves itself I'll speak to you all tomorrow.
Take care.

Hi Sallie I have had issues today too. when you do get on you never know if the post will be added or not too. The hats for premature babies were on sites on the internet, the knitted ones are easier, the crochet ones not so nice(to my mind). I have now got about 9 ready to go to the special care unit at Reading hospital. The cardigans are just first size. Ready for our second grandchild if needed. Today we found out it is forecast to be another boy> So no pink baby wool yet !!
Just finishing off the first of 2 sleeping bags for the baby due in September. So my needles are still clicking.

Hello girls, I can't believe it's been almost three days since I was on here last, sorry about that, time flies by when you are having fun.
Sallie, we were in the knock outs at darts last night, and we went out in the first round.
We all threw like idiots, but there you go, we never get never two nights alike, lol
I cant believe we had dropped down to page three Sallie, thanks for reviving us, or we would have vanished into oblivion :-(
Cor Linda, 9 baby hats for the special care unit. I bet they cheer for joy when you take them in to them. I know that the specialist nurses are always grateful, to the people like yourself, who are caring and giving. Aaah another little boy for you to love. Is he the one who is due in September? I bet your fingers are itching to buy the pink wool though. lol
Well our baby Lilly has got to see a paedatrician, about the tummy problems she is still suffering from. This has been happening since she was rushed into hospital up in Scotland, back in February. Her mummy had to ring the hospital to make the appointment for her, and she will not be seen till the 28th of June. Thats a long time to wait, seeing as she has had this for such a long time, and will be six months from the start till she sees someone, disgusting I think.
Well I must go and start some preparations for our dinner now. Hopefully I will speak to you tomorrow. Take care one and all. Love Mo xxx

Mo I had a letter from Jean during the week but it took a full week to get here. I am going to ring her in the morning, in fact I've been going to all week but haven't been well so kept putting it off. I've missed her "talking" to her every morning, hope she comes back one day. I can't see oncologist tomorrow as she was going to look at the results of my ct scan, I couldn't get in to make an appointment for one, always engaged. The secretary has made me an appointment for one middle of May, I don't know why they didn't make me one in the first place instead of me having to do it.
Hope you are all ok.
Love Caz x

Hi Caz, I know what you mean about not being able to make appointments at the hospital. My future Daughter in Law had a heck of job getting the appointment for my grandaughter, to see the paediatrician. It's bad enough with Lilly being a baby, but for yourself it's even more urgent for you to get the report from the Oncologist love. I also hope our Jean does come back soon, she is like the thread that keeps us all together, bless her. Is there any news from Joyce, as she has not been on for a while. Take care my love. Mo xxx

Hi Mo, I will be ringing Joyce tomorrow, I do every Sat. Her legs are not very good but she worries about everyone else, you know what's she's like. She is not on computer much as they have taken it upstairs so it was difficult for her to get to it to use. I know what you mean about Jean, she was the thread, it doesn't seem the same without her.
Take care yourself.

Mo, we had dropped to page five....not many on here again. It's very much the same on other threads, maybe there are quite a few members on holiday.
June 28th seems a very long time to wait before Lilly can see the paediatrician at the hospital. Has she suffered quite badly with it since she was born or only since February? Although from February is more than long enough for her to be suffering with it. Bless her!
Caz, sorry to hear that you couldn't get through to make an appointment for a CT scan. Let's hope that you will be given a cancellation so that you will get the appointment sooner. You would have thought that the hospital would have made the appointment for you. Having said that, Derbyshire Health have now decided that any mental health problems a patient has, the patient's GP can no longer refer them to see a Consellor......the patient is given a number to ring so that they can make their own appointment.
Yes I agree, it would be nice if Jean came back on here, we all miss her. I know she is very busy making cards, so doesn't have too much time to spare.
Well, I'm going to have a cuppa now and then it's time for bed.
Speak to you all again tomorrow. Goodnight.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Oh my word, we are vanishing again girls down and down the boards we seem to be going.
Jean, if you are looking in, both Caz and I have lost your phone number. Yes I know, we are both silly billy's, but Caz wanted to ring you for a chat and couldn't, bless her.
Sallie, Lilly has had acid reflux since she was born, but things have got worse as the time has gone on.
It's been another horrid day here, rain ,rain ,and more rain. Please let it stop by the weekend. Don't forget we are away in Yarmouth then for a week.
Talking of holidays, I wonder if Ann is still having a nice break. Lets hope her weather has been better over there, than it has been here.
Well, I hope I manage to get back on here tomorrow, as it's been a problem today. Take care my friends, Love Mo xxx

Hi everyone, well everyone that's looking in. Yes Mo, we keep slipping down the boards quite often now, which is a pity, as it use to be so busy on here. I wonder where everyone's gone.
I remember about Lilly having suffered with acid reflux since she's born, it's such a shame that she has to wait so long for an appointment at the hospital. I'll be thinking about her, bless her.
We've had quite a nice day here today, sunny and bright, but a bit cold. so I've dried two lines of washing, thank goodness.....only trouble is I, now have to iron it all.lol!! Jennie and Michael came for their Sunday roast, as usual. After we had washed up and cleared away the dishes Alun and I went to the garden centre, I had hoped to get a few things in their craft centre but I couldn't get what I wanted there. We each had a hot drink and a scone in the coffee shop there and then decided to buy two plant tubs for the front of the house......we had been thinking about getting them for a while, so we finally bought them today.
Caz, how is the weather up in West Yorkshire today? A bit of sunshine makes a difference, it makes things feel a lot better. Hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable today
Linda, like you, my friend has been knitting and crocheting quite a lot of baby clothes lately......her son-in-law's son( from his first marriage )and his girlfriend are expecting a baby girl in September, so asked her if she would knit some little coats, bonnets and also a shawl for them. Yesterday she showed me what she had made, they are gorgeous.
Hello to all our other friends on here, I hope that you are all alright.
I'll speak to you all tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello everybody. I do look in everyday if somebody has posted something new, but I havent been posting very often as I have been so busy. I bought a new scanner/printer as my old one would not print photos from my computer as it used to do from the old computer. I did ask the young man who served me if this one would as it said something about wireless on the box. He said it should, but alas, no way. I am waiting for somebody to come to see why not. It is most frustrating. I have tried everything I can, pressing various buttons without knowing what they are for! But no prints. It will do photocopying (so does the old printer).
I went to Hamilton again on Friday to see our gt grandson for the 3rd time. He is doing well and his mother is blooming.
Yesterday I went to Drury to learn about the old coalmine railway which used to be there.
Busy, busy, busy, another day at the Hospice shop today.
Huia.

Hi all
we got back from our trip yesterday, but have been catching up with stuff around the house etc.
The meeting was great, the food was very good, and OH duly got his award (plus a lapel pin!)
The weather, however, was the pits!
We literally had everything from sun to snow!
It really came in sequence ............... sun, rain, sun, heavy rain, sun. Then we got into the mountainous sections .............. sun, rain, sun, hail, sleet, sun, snow!!
We did have to cross 4 mountain passes, ranging from about 1200 m to over 1500m.
<<<<<< My new avatar is from Friday around lunchtime .... we had already crossed 2 higher mountain passes than this one with just a few flakes on one of them, then this!
There are in fact 5 or 6 mountain ranges, running north south, between the coast and the Rockies.
I haven't had time to read back. Have I missed anything????
