Hello all.
I had a busy day yesterday. I had intended to spend this morning writing my cards for NZ friends and relatives to post when I go out this afternoon, but I am feeling so tired that I might just email or ring them this year, then I can get a bit more sleep this morning. I must be better organised next year.
Happy Christmas and a great new year to any of my friends on here whose address I dont have, so cant send you a card.
Huia.

Hi Everyone Sorry not posted recently, been a bit manic here. Enjoy a lovely ceremony at the regisrty office for our daughter last Friday. Then had a small party back home for just 20 people. Had lots of clearing to do both before and after. The decorator completed the room on Thursday morning, really pleased, he was good and the room looks bigger clearer and lighter. Now have to get the houyse ready first for hubby's birthday on Thursday and then for Christmas with 12 on Christmas Day. After FIL staying for a few days. On following Wednesday Hubby's sister is coming too, will be 5 for lunch that day.
Still trying to get a break away in the sunshine before the expected date of our first grandchild in February !!!
Hope you are all on track for Christmas.

Hello my friends. It's so nice to hear that everything went well for the wedding Linda. You are going to be such a busy bee this week, with all this organising to do, it's a good job you are so adept at doing it love. How lovely to have all the family with you at christmas, it definately is a time for proper family get togethers. We will have seven for christmas dinner, but then 21 in th evening. Thats not all the family. Unfortunately we have had a fall out with one of our daughters, over her boyfriend. This is the daughter who's husband left her for another woman last year at this time. We are not exactly enamoured of the new beau, and we have said we would like our daughter and her girls to come as usual, but he is not welcome. The outcome of it all, is she has now said none of them will be coming, and will enjoy their own christmas in their own home. If this is what she wishes, despite the hurt, she must make her own mind up, and nothing we say will change it. We can't put a finger on why we don't like this chap, and all my other children feel the same way. I suppose we could have swallowed our pride and said bring him along for our daughters sake, but then why should we welcome someone into our home, who we dont like.
Ann, I am like you, in keeping a tally as to who I send christmas cards to. I call it my little black book of christmas addy's. The tooth that aches, is one that is crowned. The dentist warned me that it would probably need replacing, and the roots treated again. But it has been so settled lately, that I didn't bother about it. I have got some anti-biotics that Roly's dentist gave him following his treatment a couple of months ago, just in case he had any problems. So now I am hoping that they work for me. They are Amoxicillin 250 mg, the same as my dentist gave me last time I had the same problem. But if it gets bad over christmas, I shall go to the walk in centre, or up to the hospital dental line.
Huia love, have you been overdoing things. I am wondering if this is why you are feeling so tired. Hows your diet going now honey?
Sallie thanks for the p.m. I have answered you love. Take care, stay happy for me.
Bye for now everyone. Love Mo xxx

Mo, I've replied to your pm. I hope your tooth will not cause you too much trouble until you can get to see your dentist....hopefully the Amoxicillin will clear any infection you might have.
Huia, thank you for your lovely card... it's a very pretty flower. Hope you have been able to get plenty of rest and are feeling less tired now.
Linda, pleased to hear that your daughter's wedding went well on Friday. You are going to be very busy again over the next week, what with Christmas, hubby's birthday and having some members of your family staying with you.
We will be four for Christmas dinner this year....son's girlfriend is working on Christmas Day, only for four hours but it stops them coming to us for Christmas.
Time for bed now, so will speak to you all soon.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Yes, I sometimes wonder if I am overdoing things, but I think part of the tiredness is if I dont get a good sleep at night. At least I can take half a sleeping pill if I am going out next morning, or if I have trouble getting to sleep, but by then it is getting late anyway. Some of the tiredness might also be boredom.
This morning I went up to Cossey Dam and spent 2 hours cutting the flower heads or buds off the agapanthus plants, since they are weeds in NZ and they cant spray them because of the water in the dam, and the native trees around. When the colder weather returns I will have to try to get up there to dig up the plants, but it will be a long hard job. Other people were setting the poison baits for possums and rats today. Phil and I used to do it on a Wednesday.
My weight is slowly coming down and I hope this morning's exercise will help.

They are closer and she can have her medicines moring and evening and sleep in her new bed. This evening our son and his wife are coming to see hubby as they can't make tomorrow on his birthday. I managed to wrap all the gifts last night, so I am pleased about that. One more card came yesterday that I hadn't sent, oops it will go first class today but I hope it gets to them on time. No more now as they definately will be around until the new year.
Have a good day everyone.

Coo thats good value Linda. The fruit alone could cost you more than that. Like you, I have been to Tesco's today, to finish of the food shopping. If I have forgotten anything, tough, we will do without, coz I am NOT going in there again. People were going crazy, they had trolley loads full of food, anyone would think the shop was closing for a month, not just one day for goodness sake. I hope your hubby has enjoyed his birthday. Is this his 65th, as I know he is now retired. I hope you found mum cheerful, and enjoying herself, bless her.
I hope I am not to late to wish..................................................... :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) A HAPPY CHRISTMAS SYLVIA. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) I missed her posting at 04.35 a.m this morning, but then I would wouldn't I, beeing as I was fast asleep. I hope things went well at the doctors as well Sylvia.
Speak to you all tomorrow, god willing. Love to all. Mo xxx

I went back to Cossey Dam yesterday to photograph the NZ passion flower with my older camera. It does good close-ups. I havent yet found how to do them with the new camera. I then drove down to the Hunua falls, and had my lunch, after which I went to visit Phil.
On my way home I did some shopping in Papakura. The fine morning had turned to a wet afternoon. In fact, there was a real downpour, particularly in the eastern part of the town as they had flooding. As I started home through the Hunua Gorge I noticed lots of water running across the road where drains had blocked. The rain had stopped by the time I got to Hunua, but a little bit further on there were very black clouds to the south, over my area. I stopped and took some photos. I like taking photos of interesting weather, fog, etc. I was glad to get home though, without finding the road blocked by any slips.

Huia doesn't your new camera have a macro setting? when my camera is on the macro setting I have to have the camera set to wide angle, if I don't the macro doesn't work. Glad you didn't get washed away, and glad that you got to see Phil as well.
Linda, goodness that is good value, I suppose they realise that there will be nothing less likely to sell as a Christmas cake after Christmas!!!
Mo, I missed Sylvia as well. And I am not shopping for any more food. We went to town today as I had a chiropodist appointment and the bus coming home was heaving. Luckily we were near the front of the queue so had a seat but a lot of people were standing.

Ann, I have been so busy lately that I havent had time to investigate the workings of the new camera. It does have a macro setting but not sure how to operate it. The smaller camera has macro and super macro and it is just a matter of clicking on the left side of the wheel once or twice. I tried it with the new camera and it did more-or-less take a photo but not ultra clear. Perhaps when Christmas is over I can start to study the workings of the new camera.

I say Jean, how come Ann can get away with misbehaving, and the rest of us can't, that not fair. Ann wants the chance to be unrult with us..... nah nah da nah nah, lol ;-) It's so good to hear from you my love. I have not been to the dentist just yet, I have been taking the anti-biotics, but have only one days tablets left, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the pain stays away till after christmas. We went up to town this morning, to get a couple of bits we had forgotten. Tes*co's was absolutely heaving, so we popped into Ic*lands instead, and came home as quickly as possible. Trying to find a parking spot was like looking for a needle in a haystack. We actually witnessed a fight break out over a disabled parking bay. Why don't people realise they can park elsewhere in the car park, with their disabled badge. We normally do if we can't find a space. Talk about the christmas spirit, it certainly went out the window today, when the fight broke out. Jean, Roly is a lot better now, not in so much pain thank the lord, but thank you for asking. Well girls, just in case I don't get the opportunity to come on here tomorrow. HAVE A LOVELY CHRISTMAS, ONE AND ALL. AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR. Love and seasons greetings to you all. Thank you for your friendship during 2011, heres to 2012, when we can chat away to our hearts content. Mo and Roly xxx

I expect I will have time to get on here tomorrow but just in case I don't I wish you all a wonderful christmas and a Happy New Year. I shall try not to misbehave Jean, chance would be a fine thing, but I am puzzled as to why you won't be on until the New Year. Are you going away?
Mo I hope the toothache stays away for you.

Merry Christmas to you all. Mo I read your bit about the disabled parking bay and if they are like me I can't walk very far so have to be dropped off at the door if no disabled spare. It annoys me when cars park there with no badge in the window and get away with it. Ann Jeans computer is a bit poorly at moment so we keep in touch by phone.
