Hi Patrica
Hope the sage tea works for you. I tried sage capsules from the health shop and I didn't like the taste as it kept repeating it's self, mind you fresh sage might be different , best of luck anyway.
I'm off out to night so I want to go for a shower and wash hair ,meeting friends at bus station as a special bus has been put on to take us to this evening wedding do. so I will say both Good evening and goodnight and catch up with you tomorrow.
Jane if you go away tomorrow to Dorset , have a great time,

got talking to another gran at playgroup this morning after she noticed I was having a tropical moment and she recommended I should try sage tea,I've got some sage growing in my herb patch so I'm off to make some now .She says make it and store it in the fridge will let you know how it goes, though if it tastes bad I might have to add it to something else,

Hi everybody.
WE HAVE A PLAN!!!!

Daughter no 1 just got back from the midwife and there is still no sign of this baby being anywhere near ready to come. so if nothing happens before next Tuesday, my daughter will go into hospital on Tuesday evening about 8 and will be given an examination and a pessery to get her in a prepared state for this baby, if she goes into labour great, if not they will then make arrangements for an induction some time on the Thursday depending on the availability of a bed, so hopefully I will be a granny this time next week. SO WE STILL PERHAPS HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK.

Hi AB
My pills are called Migraleve, I was first prescribed them from the doctor, but now I buy them over the counter, as the last time I saw my doctor about the migraines she wanted to change my pills and I didn't as I am not very good with different medications and usually have side effects quite often. apart from feeling like a zombie they help the headaches.
I take two pink pills at the sight of the flashing lights and then four hours later & can take two yellow ones if there's no improvement , normally I don't need the yellow ones.

Morning girls, I've got this vision of myself walking round with my drawers clanking...with regard to the magnet!! So don't think it's for me.

AB glad to have you back!

That serenity cream sounds good, I'm tempted to by some when I get back from our break.

Bit cooler here today but the sun is shinning, so that's good.

Be back later I expect ladies.

Migraines.....a small shot of brandy just as you feel it coming on,mine start with visual disturbance, the brandy helps with the blood flow to the head and ,honest, lifts the migraine within 20 minutes.I was advised to try this by a homeopath about 30 years ago and it works for me.Serenity cream can only be bought online from the channel islands.I've got a ladycare magnet going spare if anyone wants to try it,thats if the thought of it being inside my knickers doesn't put you off,,and if you can remember to remove it before using the loo!

I used to suffer from migraines until I had a hysterectomy, since then, 22yrs ago, I have only had one. Lucky me! I was given soluble aspirin, a lemon flavoured one, and if I took them as soon as I felt any sign of one coming on, it usually stopped it. My OH could tell I was starting one by my eyes, which apparently took on a strange look.

Hi Ladies
Hi AB, good to have you back

DizzieLizzie
I hate to say it but I'd rather have the hot flushes than the migraines. Touch wood I have tried to keep my self calm and controlled lately as not to start a migraine, mine come with stress, and the worst one was last new year eve when it lasted all night with sickness to ,it turned out I had a urine infection and that had made the headaches worse.
I hate the zig zag patterns and the flashing lights. and after taking the pills and going to bed in a dark room the next day I am like a zombie.

I'm off to make some tea now catch up later.

Jane Report 3 Sep 2009 18:13

Morning girls, well that's work done until the 20th September.

Patricia I'm only 5ft 2" like you, so if I put on a bit of weight i'd look enormous. I'm going to try to avoid going on the HRT if possible...just think that some days it gets so bad you think f***k it I've had enough of this and would give anything a go!!

Well hopfully the baby should be here like you say Fiona when Jane and myself get back from our holidays. I'm really looking forward to it, we're going to a place we've been to many times, Menorca, so no nasty surprises!

Going to bed soon as the old eyes are getting heavy...so may sleep very well.

Speak lkater i expect...have a safe day everyone.

Pam.

Just looked it out and it is ladycare, you can check it online to see if it's of interest ,try anything once lol

Patricia

Patricia Report 2 Sep 2009 23:36

I't's called magnacare I think and its supposed to stop all menopausal symptoms .It's triangular and blue and has a part that you place inside your underwear and a little magnet that attaches outside your pants to hold it in place ,sounds bizarre I know ,but my late father in law used magnet therapy for circulation problems after his knee replacement surgery and claimed it had great results ,maybe it was called ladycare I'm not sure now. Anyway after dropping it down the loo several times I decided to give up on it.My friends all thought it was hilarious ,something else I maybe should have persevered with.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Sep 2009 17:34

Patricia ,I have never heard of a magnet that goes in pants!!!!!!!!The mind boggles lol. What is it supposed to do?
