Lizzie.that sounds a really interesting farm.I used to enjoy taking the children when they were little. One year we had a little girl called Letitia to stay with us for 2 weeks. It was with a Charity Called Childrens Country Holiday ?(can't remember the last word. She was 5 years old and was very brave to leave London and stay with strangers.I think her Mother was glad to get rid of her to be honest.Anyway we took her to a country farm and she didn't know which animals were which. She had never seen a cow or a sheep or anything. In fact the longer she was with us it became more apparent there were many things she had never seen or experienced.Marmite,bubblebath,Dairylea. |

Hi A.B. ,theres not much in the way of counselling these days either. They're thrown on the scrapheap because many of them have psycological problems .The statistics for the number of ex-servicemen who end up in prison is horrific.Maybe it's time the politicians who seem so keen on war fought themselves.I don't think they would be so keen then |

Just back from a "NIGHTCLUB" My daughter and her friends have compiled a calendar for "HELP FOR HEROES" and tonight they had their launch.A good turnout and they hope to make £10,ooo .I am so proud of her! It's the first photographic job she ha s done on her own and she has made a really good job of it .Semi naked girls with cars ,differing locations and costumes ,reminiscent of 1970's calendars One of her best friends was a soldier in both Iraq and Afghanistan and came home a completely different person to who he was when he went, there's no help available for them and they have to cope with the bad dreams, mood swings and worse on their own.So even if it only helped him it would be worth while .Hopefully ,there are a lot of other people willing to raise funds to help.I just thank god my son has no intention of joining up! |

Thanks for your kind words girls. I thought about going as lately I've not had so much time to contribute to the threads, but that doesn't matter really as we all have busy and not so busy times. Also I would have missed you all so much. Yes where are Harps and Family Searcher?! |
