Happy Sunday, from a cold , very cold West of Scotland .Iwon't be surprised if there's snow before the end of the day.Chances are I'll be veging in front of the T.V. certainly tonight for the X Factor final and I might watch the Susan Boyle programme. Will record House and Spooks for during the week.I don't think I've ever felt less Christmassy I'm blaming that ,as I do everything else ,on my hormones.20 years today since we moved into this house and it's also my late mother's birthday my O.H. bought this house when he was out for a training run for a marathon! He didn't ask my opinion as I'd been saying for weeks we needed an extra bedroom so he just went ahead without me.I HATED IT at first and probably for 2or3 years after we moved in,but now I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's not my "dream house" that was the house before this but on the whole we've been happy here.....and that's what counts

I am the same in 'That Department' lol.I need a kick start !!.But I don't want anything that gives me more hair.it has been the bain (sp) of my life since a teenager.OH says when he gets the urge ,he has to make the most of them while he can lol.Trouble is most of the time I can't be bothered.I have my book.He says I read too much!!!!

well ladies I spoke to my doctor about testosterone for women and she says yes it can be helpful not only with the lost libido but with metabolising fat.Apparently it's available in cream form though you should aim for less than 2% cream and use sparingly or you can have it in patches .I'm thinking about it but as I already have a problem with excess hair, which has regretably returned after laser treatment I will take time before making a decision.I have NOT mentioned it to my O.H. yet as I don't want to get his "hopes" up .No pun intended lol.Though I have to admit his patience is wearing a bit thin with the lack of activity in that dept.Sadly I'd still rather have a cup of tea and a good book .....................

I have used a shaped piece of tissue, fastened to my nail by soaking with nail vaarnish, which will last if you can keep your hands as dry as possible, though it has lasted through hand washing.

Hello everyone.
Daughters eyelashes are still in the lounge.I am still missing one.Am wondering if the dog has eaten it .lol.
I have always been lucky and have strong nails ,I can't even bite them.Although saying that just recently I have had 3 that have split at the side about a 3rd of the way down.Too far down to cut,so I use little bits of steristrips and paint clear nail varnish over the top to stick them to the nails .That way it stops me catching them on things.

So pleased Sophia was a good little girl with her jab Fiona.I remember feeling quite sick at the thought of taking my 2 for theirs. How do you explain to a baby why someone is going to stick a needle in them??

Fiona

Fiona Report 9 Dec 2009 17:07

Hi all
been busy with babygrand daughter she's been for her second lot of jabs , and she had two short cries and that was it, so we are very proud of her.
I never could get the hang of putting false eyelashes on, or false nails, though when I was working I managed to struggle with false nails when I was going out as my own nails kept breaking and they looked awful when they were short, now I have stopped working my nails are stronger and I always make sure I wash up with rubber gloves on.

Well Jean,it is the season for miracles lol! I saw an advert today for Mother Christmas, what a good idea. You buy your ticket at the door and it tells you your time for an appointment with mother christmas ,so no queues and for £4 you get 5minutes of her time and a gift.I like the idea of a woman for the little ones,You spend all year telling them not to speak to strangers then come December you plonk them on an old bearded man's knee . Somehow a woman is less "threatening ".

Did anyone wear false eyelashes in their younger days?.I gather they are back in fashion big time.My daughter went out with her friend last night and they came back sometime in the early hours.Went into the Kitchen this morning to put the kettle on and there on the work top were 4 caterpillars !!!!!
2 sets of false lashes lol. They must have just peeled them off while waiting for the kettle to boil.

went christmashopping with daughter and 2 grandchildren,in the hope it might lift my spirits.Sadly the lack of good cheer appears to be universal at least in this part of the world.Santa's grotto was a total rip-off and the queue was miles long with crabby kids and harrassed mums threatening all sorts of woes if they didn't behave. If it were me I'd have just given up and gone home,my own 2 little darlings waited until the great man was in sight and then decided they would rather go for something to eat!Their dad and papa can take them next time.Daftgrannie's not THAT daft.

People still manage to park like that in disabled spaces! We both need to open doors wide and it can be a near thing many times.

I had a car pull up close next to me today in Tes** car park. They very kindly nodded at me so I could get out first.I looked at the gap, said a prayer and sucked in my tummy lol,and JUST managed although I did knock their car with my door.(very gently I hasten to add)

Sorting out the rest of my old photos,I think I picked the wrong day as my mood is really low so I've cried buckets over them .My life is in those boxes ,people who've passed on ,my kids with jammy faces ,a size 8 me finishing a half marathon 20 different hairstyes in assorted colours ,my O.H. in his Miami Vice phase in white suit and no socks ................where did the years go?

HELP!!!!

Symptom
1) I open my mouth and the wrong word comes out
2) Its 16 degrees in our bedroom and I still fling the cover off in the night
3) I forget words
4) Periods- regular as clockwork, still
All these symptoms were amusing when my Mother was first suffering them (except 4)but now I have them and my Mum still has them. Then again shes only had them since her hysterectomy when she was fifty one, I'm only 45.

May as well get used to the fact my brains turning to goo!
