My son called round this afternoon as he's got a week off from work. He's 28 and a good lad. We had a nice chat ,just him and me, it was just so nice, as I looked at him all grown up I thought it only seems yesterday that he was born. I had this over powering feeling of such love for him as he sat there. I love my daughter so much too. I remember my late dad telling me that there's no love like you have for your children, it's so true. I said to him, "Give me a hug Steve, I love you so much". and he always does, I got really emotional...oh dear this change thing does do funny things to you....anyone else the same!?

I find I get that more often now when it comes to the kids.It is a difficult feeling to explain. But I know what I mean lol

Ah Helen, I knew you'd understand what i meant. Maybe it's the longing for when they we're young again..or for grandchildren.x

Going back to the dry shampoo subject, one i'd recommend as a quick fix and you do have to kind of get the knack of applying it, is Batiste Dry Sahmpoo (WTF is Sahmpoo!) I meant Shampoo! I have blonde hair and it works well, but if you're really dark it may not be quite so good.

Well, I have just booked up the B&B's for the night before our sailing and the night we get back from Ireland. One of them is real posh, staying in St. Davids and the other basic but close to the ferry port. Just five mins up the road. As we are coming in at 0045 in the morning thats ideal. We can get a good nights sleep before our onward journey home. Makes me tired just thinking about it. lol

Am fair tuckered out now so think I will join Pam (not literally) lol and go to bed.

Night night everybody
Pleasant dreams to you all

LOL Helen, bet I can beat you on the snoring. I have woken myself up terrified! pmsl Thats why OH left the maritial bed and moved into the spare room because of MY snoring if you please. Now if I had done that 20 years ago because of HIS snoring I would never have heard the last of it.

Night night then, we will all be snoring in unison very soon! lol

Hello Everybody - we appear to be ships that pass in the night on here lately lol

AC - gosh I bet that was a surprise to find members on here have the person in their trees - the story gets even more exciting.

Pam - whoops sorry Pam, that should be Marilyn lol - How very dare OH kick you on the shins! Got any blue eye makeup and blusher? Slap it on your skin and make it look like a HUGE bruise - that will teach him lol.

Helen - same as you, I still have my apendix so cannot use mine as an excuse.

When I was poorly two years ago and receiving hospital at home treatment, the nurses were taking my temperature daily. I happened to tell them that my temperature was not "normal" and was always about 2 or 3 degrees lower than the average. They asked if I had thyroid probs and I said "unfortunately" no, as I would like to blame that for the reason why I am overweight, and that I had already had a blood test done at the surgery. They advised me to have a "proper" test done at the hospital, as low body temperature usually means thyroid problems. I have yet to ask my GP for a "proper" test! lol Might do that next time I see him in three weeks time.

Have a good day see you later.

Sigh....I still have my appendix too...so can't blame that.

Harpstrings, I only ever have thyroid tests done at the doctors and am on thyroxine because of an underactive thyroid. Although my annual results are always 'normal' I am still overweight and my temperature is still at least a degree lower than it should be!!

Once, on holiday for a week with OH all of the time and eating healthily, I put 2 pounds on and he lost 2 pounds!! I have to use a sideplate for my dinner now and rarely eat potatoes and a small loaf of brown bread lasts me all week!! I am trying to step up my exercise now, metabolism must be slow!!

Back to my jobs for a bit now.....

Dont you just hate it when things like that happen - its just not fair!

Sometimes though eating less means the body shuts down because it thinks we are being starved - well yes we are lol. When I was with the R. Conley slimming classes, I have never ever ate as much as I did then, and the weight just dropped off. I was allowed a treat every day too - a two finger kitkat and oh boy did I enjoy that after dinner.

Dont think there are any quick fixes to weight loss and age has a lot to do with it too and how active you are. Because of my arthritis am getting slower day by day which does not help burn up any excess calories or the calories full stop. *sighs*. :))

Pam - you are welcome

Tina x logging off now must do some of that stuff we do around the house! lol
