I am reluctant to where them as I am not convinced they do anything, but I don't want to risk getting another emoblism. I wore the stockings right after my op and for 8 weeks, day in, day out and I still got the clot! I'm OK now after having a 5 month cause of Rat poison. So I just need to do as I am told. (will hide them under my jeans. Ha Ha! I'll be the one sweating like a pig!

LOL........................ Oh yes I remember trying to put those on after a shower in the hotel we stayed overnight at.......... I looked more like Nora Batty.
First thing I took off when we got into our cabin.

Dee, please make sure that you get up and walk about often also drink lots (especially water) and move the legs around when sitting down. I hate flying as we usually go from Southampton but this holiday we had no choice. The flight was 9 hours and it just flew past. The inflight movies TV etc was good. The food was OK and in next to no time we had arrived. I had always said that I would never fly but have no qualms now.
Just make sure that you do whatever advised by your GP/Surgeon. Good luck.

Tell your sister, that I will be the one on the flight making a nuisance of myself - as per my doctors instructions!

I had a pulmary embolism after an opp last year and have been told to move around the aeroplane as much and as ofter as I can! So, I'll be the one walking up and down blocking the aisle, he he he.

Just rang her again but she is asleep!! Her Oh doesn't know anything about tenders.It would only be if the water isn't deep enough for the ship to dock.

Where did she get that info? We were wondering about that...its such a big boat!

I think my sister says you have a couple of places where you have to have the tender boat to take you to shore.

Ahh, now we thought about not having a port hole too...... during the day, we will be either on a trip, or enjoying what is offered on the rest of the trip. At night - what can you see out of the port hole? Sea? no - pitch black! He he.

Besides, you don't pay all that money to go on a cruise, just to stay in the cabin, do you?

If we have problems with docking and have to stay on the boat, there is always the TV in the cabin.

You don't spend much time in your cabin,the only thing with an inside one is you have no porthole or window.As long as your beds are fine then ..enjoy your anniversary lol

We went for an inside one. We were thinking of having one with a balcony, but the travel agent assistant said she had been on a cruise and had a balcony, but never used it because there is so much going on in the ship. The cost was several hundred pounds more, so we went for an inside cabin because I think they said most of the outside cabins had L shape single beds, the inside cabin beds can be pushed together.

She is going for a fortnight.Have you got an inside or out side cabin?They have outside.

I've been looking at the reviews on the internet. Its 50/50 with people who liked it and who did not.

It seems the biggest complaint is the cabins....too small and a bit shabby. Well, I won't know until I get there but so long as they are clean, I won't be spending much time in there! Its an old ship, so its bound to be a little shabby...isn't it?

Someone else said that the walls to the cabins we thin and you could hear everything. I'll have to take some cotton wool to put in my ears! Ha ha!

I'm flying out on 29th for a fortnight. Can't wait.
