Hi folks, sorry been awol from here, trying to figure out the holiday plans but think they are on hold for the mo and with Daff's news today will put a meet on hold as far as I am concerned, for now.

Things going on here too, not with me but my son and his side of the family so will leave you to decide whether to have a meet in June or later and if I am around, will be there, if not will send a cardboard cutout lol

Would anyone be interested in Swansea? its not far from Llanelli, and we have some nice venues?

If Liz isn't going to be there does it need to be Lanelli? Which is easiest and accessible for everyone? Although you need to keep it close enough to allow for Liz being there too I suppose.

why doesn't somebody in Wales organise a meet for the 6th then another one could be organised when you are down there Liz. There are often more than one meet in an area in the year so no problem. And it is so much easier for somebody on the spot to organise a meeting place. All you need is a pub large enough to accommodate everyone, check with the landlord it is OK, it usually is if people are buying meals and drink. Having said thatw e have had two very successful meets in a large garden centre cafe. But it didn't go on as long as some of the pub meets.

Liz, the 6th june is favourable with most, but we could always have another in sept as well?

Now I feel really bad as this was only at first a 'suck it and see' thread in case I could get to Wales. O.h. has told me to wait now as I can't find anywhere to stay that he will pay for, all so expensive as he wants to stay where we usually do but there aren't any affordable suitable apartments up for rent so have to wait nearer the time and hope we can still have the weeks we chose if I find somewhere. I can see it being September again knowing my luck!

Will be so fed up if I can't arrange things or there is a meet before I get there :>((
