I've been out all day and I expected to have 2 new babies on the thread when I got back.

I think young girls/women are built differently these days because all the ones I know who've had babies lately have said the labour wasn't bad and it wasn't that painful giving birth. Maybe I'm just soft but I can't imagine anything being more painful than my labour pains, I was in agony.

Hi Girls

All these babies being born what a busy month September is going to be. I will watch the space .

Pauline When Dad died we were clearing the house ready for repairs and painting and decorating to be done as my son owned the house he gave it to my father as his till he died then it went to my son. Sheila and I took what we wanted and the rest we asked the family to take what they wanted as my Dad use to do oil and water colour painting I called the neighbours in Dads friends and asked them to take a painting in. we had taken the ones we wanted. then we found two boxes od photo albums and papers we didnt have time to sort through all the stuff so Sheila had them in her attic and so we have been taking the bit down and going through them last time I found lots of family photos this time there were old papers and drawing on designs he had done for his building work. but a folder tied with string had all his typing on about his life he was born in 1908 but he moved to the house he died in when he was four so he wrote all about that and some of the things he wrote was so funny my sister and I laughted till we cried. and as we were both born in this house we knew some of the things that happened. and so it easy for us to read and know more about them.

Hi Ladies
Just back from a meal with friends who live in Hayes, what a rotten drive over there. Nice meal though and good to catch up.

Where are these babies? Pain relief, baby no 1 pethidine, and I said I'd never have it again................. spaced me out. No 2 nothing at all. No3 a little gas and air.

Think a lot of these Mum's have an epidural that numbs them from the waist down. Not available when I had mine.
Mind I suffered for years with bad periods so maybe labour wasn't so bad !!

Hope you all sleep well.

Good to see you back Rita, I enjoyed reading about your finds.

First things first. Cuppas all round. We all need one while waiting for these babies.

The weather isn't looking promising here today, so I won't bother with the washing. Just need to get the ironing done and vacuum again, to get rid of the dog hairs.

Have a good day

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the tea Yvonne...

NO BABY .....YET !!

Looks like its going to be a 3day labour as that's what her sisters endured , Guess it runs in the family... She's had Epidural and some meds to bring it on and 7 centimeters dilated.

So that's the news......!

Pauline I didn't even have Gas & Air they couldn't afford it where I had mine .LOL

But I did take some Castor oil , and boy it worked !!! but was a very painful back labour ...so never again did I take it for the second one.

I have been a busy bee this morning helping some one with their tree ,and had not realized the time, gosh doesn't it go quick !

Going to have a look at my emails now.
