So let me be the first to take a step back.

I shall say nothing more of the ills that beset this site................ and I shall no longer confront those who seemingly do not have the best interests of this site at heart.

I pray that you can extract similar concessions from elswhere.

With respect Robin, revenge is bitter whoever is involved and who is to blame gets a bit blurred after a time. All that is left is distaste by the onlookers for what seems to be a pointless free for all, with neither party wanting to give in. Does this mean we are to expect more of the same? I hope not as this has gone round in circles for far too long.

Swept Under the carpet? No, but the dirt has been on the carpet for far too long now. We who are caught in the middle don't wish to take sides, and just want peace.


Lynda has put up some great threads and I envied her ability to think up a subject to interest most people


Dame and I used to have an innocent laugh with others in the wee hours and talk to others who couldn't sleep and needed company.


I used to laugh myself silly at your own witty brilliantly thought out postings.

I have laughed til I cried at Hayley and Co's threads which were like a small production of witty farces.

A lot of Eldricks Postings were so witty that even though I knew he was poking fun at me I had to laugh.

This all changed into a free for all that no-one can possibly win but there are and will be many losers.....Is it worth it?


Why can't we all go back to just getting on with enjoying the boards and post without innuendos/connotations? I for one don't want to be in the middle of a war zone or worry that I am friends or talk with the 'wrong person'. Please let there be a truce and avoid those one really doesn't get on with. We have heard enough now.


Edit: Not forgetting Mel who had many threads where all her friends used to have fun without upset.

Or Mildred who used to hold a good debate

all sadly missed.

I am most sorry that you, and others, have to witness this sort of nonsense.

You have my assurance that it gives me no pleasure whatsoever to complain loudly whenever I see the sort of harassment that is dished out to one particular member whenever she posts to this site.

And what makes it particularly galling is that at least two of those who pursue her are ex members previously banned from here for life. Another is prominent on the blog of another banned for life member and another one seems to be hiding behind a new account which is only used when she wants to cause trouble.

Am I the only one who thinks it is wrong that all this should be swept under the carpet ?

I too would dearly love these boards to return to something more enjoyable. But I cannot see that happening while the likes of some of those who have posted to this thread are allowed to systematically hound any member who they happen to dislike.

Oh for goodness sake stop it all of you. Unless of course you are all having so much fun....in which case do carry on....far be it for me to spoil it for you, after all who cares about the rest of us.

Watching everyone tearing each other to pieces is not fun and before anyone says 'we don't have to read it'.....not much left to read any more is there? or many people left. What is it going to take for all parties to just stop and get on with what this site is supposed to be about?.

I have sat here and not said a word over the last few months, hoping it will all sort itself out in time. Please stop!

Maybe it is a bit too altruistic of me, but it would be nice to think we could start off a day without regurgitating old vendettas, leave out all those emotive vile, bile, bilious, words, and just get on with having a pleasant day. Bless ladies, its mt second son, eldest is 19 and josh is 18, this week, he bumped into his real Dad this week who has rejected him, he challeneged him, didnt get far even though he was very polite, Im going to make it good for him though xxx
