Hi Joy - sorry to read youhave decided to 'go'. I have been a member here for years but do remember your name as one of the first ones I approached for assistance. I am like another poster earlier - I just don't read the nasty posts and certainly don't get involved. I get my pleasure from threads/contacts who are pleasant, interesting and humorous. I'm not saying I agree with every point of view that is put up, but I certainly wouldn't fall out with anyone, or criticise anyone for their views. I do agree that personal jibes and arguments are unnecessary and uncalled for and wish whole-heartedly that it would stop so we can all enjoy each others company 100%. I do hope that perhaps in the future you may decide to return but in the meantime, take care, enjoy your life and thanks.

I've met a lot of people who's feelings are quite cold,They look for satisfaction in some silver or some gold,They think they own life's treasures having lots of cash to spend,But the greatest gift to me in life is one who is a friend. There's lots of friendliness about, in life it does abound,It's there in every walk of life, it's easy to be found,It may take a little effort but that isn't much to spendEspecially if it buys for you a warm and loving friend. It's nice to meet a friendly face when one has lost the way,A lovely soul who'll do their best to make sure you're okay,There's nought can beat a friendly word to bring peace to your mind,Especially when it comes from one who is so warm and kind. It's nice to have a lot of friends, it really is so grand,Those people who are always there to lead you by the hand,But should you feel that you're alone when trouble comes to call,Remember there is one above who's a friend to one and all.

I'm sorry to see people go, somewhat ignorant of the flareups etc., but hate to see anyone unhappy when this site is supposed to be about family and connections. I have to say I have 'met' some amazing people on here, including reconnection with a family member who had been lost to me for over 30 years. This site can truly be a 'sanity break' for me and many others I'm sure.
Whatever your reasons I wish you well with your research.

It is always sad to see any of the long time members leaving. despite all the problems on here I still think it is a mostly good place to spend some time. I steer clear of problem threads. I don't think the recent spat of blogs has helped the site at all but only when what is on them overspills on to here. so it is up to us to keep other sites and blogs where they belong.

Good luck in what you choose to do. maybe return some time in the future.
