He won the VC didn't he for his part in the bombing of the Mohne and Eder dam. My hubby was in Gibson block on his basic training at RAF Swinderby.

No Monty, he's not that old he joined up in 1977, but I read quite a lot about WW2 watch a lot of stuff on Discovery Channel.
