The ladies have arrived..........and they're now all boxed up and cosy for the night and seem happy now they've settled a bit.

Eldest is chuffed to bits.........sadly my novel name ideas didn't go down well and she has christened them *cluck* and *tart* ( i really don't know why but she HAD just eaten a Jam tart so I HOPE that's why lolololol)

*hopes Glenys doesn't send a cyber slap over for those names* lololol xx

Well hellooooo! Oi, Muffy, have I got a reputation or something ..........? :-))

Oh, bless! lol those names. All I would say is that when you have to call them in of an evening, can you imagine calling out "Cluck! Tart! Beddybyes!"

Mind you, you've escaped a clip round the ear this time my girl! lol
Oh - just one more thing. You know what they say, don't you: I'll have a Cluck, to give me Luck, I'll have some pie to make me cry, I'll have some cream to make me dream, I'll have a Tart to make me f-f-f-f-

feel better

I'd love to do that Mick but the risk is the chicks may turn out to be Cockerels..........I heard the racket they were making at the place I collected the ladies from yesterday............NO WAY Pedro lololol.

Green shells though? Really?

Thanks everyone.

I have wasted the majority of the day sitting outside and watching them peck about lol. They've settled in so well. They've even made friends with the giant rabbit lol.

I still can't believe I have a chicken called Tart though lmao.

Can't wait for them to start laying but they are still pretty young ish.........between 12 and 16 wks old apparently.......he has so many he lost track of them .......so I think I have a while to wait for that.

I'm seriously considering going to get another two. I'm smitten lol xx

They are beautiful little things, aren't they. I remember when we had chickens when I was a girl (shaddup you lot!) and I, too, was smitten. Just you wait when one of them gets broody and you may have to buy some fertilised eggs for her. Awww, those chicks .............
Anyway, enjoy your little girls (well, both lots really!) and keep us posted, won't you.

I'm sure I'll bore the pants off you all talking about them Glenys lol.

I'm loving having them here......the fact that they've befriended my giant rabbit is an unexpected bonus too xx

Awww, I can just imagine them with the rabbit!

*secretly glad that "Tart" isn't called "Pie" and "Cluck" isn't a "Korma" lol*
