our kids did that other day

daughters fella took carpet cleaner back to dads(howie)
back door was open radio was on, he called dad but no reply so he left it in middle of kitchen and went to work,
dad came down stairs(he was making bed, cleaningup stairs) wondered why no one stopped when he saw cleaner,
anyway lunch time here they chatting about it, daughter and her fella, and i says phone gransh see he ok,
daughter does, no reply, no answer phone , she starts to panic,
i suggest she pop up and see him,
no way she says, if hes passed out on floor ill panic,
i said if his back door still open phone me i come up there,
she checks his mobile he answers, thankfully

dad thinks it hilarious we all wonderin where he is

Thanks.
He's only 65 but been in a deep depression since Nan died 6 years ago and is in ill health from the mines so I tend to worry when i can't get hold of him.
Unfortunately, he lives about 90 miles away so I can't go check on him when I want.

I used to do that with my mum .Rang everyone,search parties out and all sorts.She had Dementia but always turned up safe somewhere.Keep my fingers crossed for you.

The neighbour has the key - she went in and had a look about. He's defo not in and he never goes out on a tuesday (or at least never has before to anyones knowledge)
Just don't know where he's got himself to!

you can phone the local police and they will go round there for you.
but if they break in and gramps is down the pub then you have to pay the bill for the door as it is not covered by insurance

I have phoned, left messages, got the folks next door to give him a knock, phoned his brother, phoned the hospital..........no flipping sign of the silly old goat.

I am stessing myself silly about him and I bet it'll turn out he's gone out on the p**s.
