HI all,
Gramps just phoned me - wondering why he had so many messages on his ansafone from me and half of the family.
Turns out he's not be sleeping well lately so thought he'd go out for a few pints.
He didn't check his messages when he got home.
He was touched by my concern but did laugh when I told him how worried I'd been.

Next time I see him I'm going to give him a crash course in taking the mobile phone I bought him out with him!!!

Thanks for all your messages and concern. All's well that ends well.

xx

Thanks Pauline and Tina.
Honestly, I shouldn't worry so much really but last year I couldn't get hold of him and found him a few days later in hospital after a nasty fall. He didn't want the hospital to ring me cuz he didn't want me to worry - tho when he got home and heard my increasingly frantic messages he realised that I was more worried not knowing where he was.

Daft old so and so. I'm so relieved he's ok.

Oh what a relief for you squiggle, and how wonderful that you love your Grampy so much.

I just loved all my Grandparents, and look back on our wonderful times together.

Thanks all.
Betty, he just can't (or won't) get to grips with his mobile. I've told him just to keep it charged and take it out with him - but it's still in the box, in the cupboard, under a load of stuff. I'm sure he thinks it's some kind of voodoo device! lol.

I am pleased he is OK.
Although I had to chuckle because reading about him I got the impression he was 'old', then I realised he is 2 years younger then me!

I know, Ann. He's only 65 which is in no way old! (He was Nan's second husband and is only 8 years older than my Dad)

What a relief.....Wouldn't it be a laugh if he knew just how many people were worried about him. Isn't it nice that you could share it with so many syber friends, I'm sure it helped to have people to share it with.
All the best to you and grampa.

Thanks Karen. Yes, Margaret. I think having the support on here stopped me going crazy last night.
I think he would laugh if he knew folks from all over the country and even further afield were worrying about where he was!!

Julia, some older folks are quite fearful of technology - tho there are some on here that are geriatric computer whizzkids. lol.

I am so glad you are in touch with him again and that he is safe and well....

.....as for mobile phones, my MiL is 88 and she has to get someone around her to talk on the phone as she cannot hear what people are saying.....
