Oh Hales you havn't said if I can come or not, yet. Only I'll have to let Debbo know if we want to use her lawn. She has people such as Elton John and Meatloaf who sing and stuff, and people watching them quaffing inordinate bottles of champagne and wine. She also has showjumpers and young farmers(ooh argh), who shear sheep with their shirts off,and Royal Marines in uniform with their instruments. Occasionally, at the weekend she has a couple called Charles and Camilla to stay. But more than anything she has fox hunting with men all in red jackets and big horses. Her OH, Andy (now deceased) said when it was banned that it wouldn't stop happening on his land. She mixes with all sorts does our Debbo. Well she was a Mitford.

No need to buy tomato plants for the greenhouse when they are free. Thats how I used to get mine not that many years ago.

No, water is piped up from the spring, although we do have a well. The well was found under some flagstones in the main farmhouse. A thick glass plate was put over it and it is lit right down to the bottom, about 60' depending on the height of the water table. Quite spectacular!

Did you not know that human waste is taken and pelletised, then used as organic fertiliser on fields....?

Eldrick Report 24 Jun 2008 11:18

You hardly think they are going to build an entire sewerage system for one house, when the nearest mains is about 15 miles away...? Oh, and our water is straight from a spring as well, so there are no water bills to pay :-)

Septic tanks are environmentally friendly. They provide the organic fertiliser that is used to grow your organically grown lettuces, tomotoes, etc etc.

Lovely thought, eh!

Yes, all of those things are incuded. Plus the run of my whole country estate.

The wooded valleys and the purple heather clad hills, with the wild haunting cry of the curlew answered by the muted thrill of the snipe. The river meanders through the lowland, sparkling and splashing its way to the sea, through the hay meadows resplendant in blue celandine and forget me nots.

Which reminds me, they are coming to empty the septic tank tomorrow.

You've picked up the wrong vibrations. Thats how the place looked when I first moved in. Since I made that fortune out of investing in the semolina commodities trade, the estate has been transformed.

My old pal Don Trump was on the phone only yesterday asking for a bit of advice on golf course construction and design.

If any one is travelling from darn sarf, you can pick me up enroute. Then we can go and park the charabanc on the front lawn at Debbo's gaff at Chatsworth and put up the bivouacs. She won't mind, she is very people friendly. Then we can traverse the Dark Peaks en route to ooop norf

The following two points have been omitted by herself for some reason.....

A) The dress code is per the rocky horror show, of which I am a great admirer.

B) As this meet includes free drink, accommodation, all meals, spa facilities, en suite rooms, swimming pool, golf course, croquet lawn, room service, rent a pet and a lucky souvenir, it is only right that it is restricted to practitioners of my other great passion in life, psychic thought transference. To those lovely peeps, I need say no more. You already know the location and date of this extravaganza.
