It is day Five and only Four more to go. He comes from abroad and is studying at a well known English school. He is 17.

He makes a noise whilst eating, like a hippopotomus eating spaghetti (well I used my imagination here! lol.)

He uses the bathroom at least 40 times a day and always leaves the seat up.

He has flooded the bathroom twice.

His room is like a bomb site.

But worst of all....he has never ever said thank you to me.

Shall I slap him and give the money back? pmsl

I think you should be tucking him up at night with a bed time narrative on --Ettiquete,,,,,,,,,,,kick him into touch and lean to speak his lingo,,,,,,,,,;}}}

oh dear poor you i would give him another bill for all his little accidents and then slap him lol

BC We once had an Austrian student stay with us, he was 13 and the first day he turned the TV programme over when he didn't like the programme. After a lecture about manners and how we behaved in Britain (this was in the 70s) we all got on very well and he became a model visitor!!!

Tell him to put the seat down (or put a notice on the wall in the loo). Obviously manners are lacking. I would tell the agency because they need people like you and don't want t lose you.

I was thinking that too Ann, to tell the Agency, but I am a bit sorry for him and he may not like to "lose face". I have told him about the noises he makes (have never done that in my life! lol) but it makes no difference. I will not eat at the same time as he does, as it is too sickening. I think it quite suits him to eat alone so we are both satisfied! lol

Take his money... and slap him anyway... and let the agency know........ and fit an alarm on the loo seat that only goes off when the lid is down (you can get them for doors.... battery....... or at least you used to be able to, lol) And say a pointed PLEASE and THANK YOU as you would with a toddler..... if I think of anything else I'll let you know, lol!!

I'd be tempted to phone the agency and tell them you're packing his bags, surely they should be told what sort of child they have sent you.?
After all you wouldnt tolerate that from your own children!
