Prince

Don't worry about your frog...they can leap to a great height when they really want to. But as suggested before...keep you pond topped up with water and I hope you have some oxygenating weed too. Once that gets established, they like to hide in it and cling on to that.

I've got loads of frogs in my little pond at the bottom of the garden...

But the frogs do come out of the pond in the evenings... and when its raining. They jump around the garden looking for small slugs to gobble up.

I've even found them in amongst my plants in the various tall pots at the back of our house. One found its way into my kitchen one day when I had the back door open. I think he took a wrong turn!

But only keep them if you enjoy sleepless nights.

kaz he ws the only one in the old pond. we used to have loads but think mr rat got amongst them. when i found him in the old pond, i tossed him into the new pond. 20 minutes later we discovered him, looking very puzzled, hopping around the site of the old pond which had now been filled in.

I had a frog 'appear' under the rim in my upstairs toilet last year (v.lucky he didn't get bleached)-,had to get the RSPCA to come & help get him out......one to flush, one to grab(I'm sure he thought I'd lost the plot)anyway frog was rescued & the RSPCA man was v.happy 'cause he was the first one from the area to rescue a frog in a bog.lol

Eeyore13 Report 3 May 2008 21:50

It was under the rim-he had to be flushed.Nearly had a heart attack when I walked in & saw his head poking out-thought it was a snake!!!!!He then waved a little hand & vanished upwards-I couldn't flush him down the loo so I had to have a 'catcher'.
