your so right christina that would have been awful.
I know this is dreadful but I'm just glad they all survived and no-one died-well apart from the poor twin god rest it's soul -and the details of that beggar belief-.

Doing my teacher training child protection plays a big part, I thought the victoria columbia's case was bad but this is like some sick movie

I heard that the dead baby was thrown into an incinerator by the father after it died. This was on BBC news.

I read this in the paper, totally stunned, this is just sick
the mother/girl was only 19, her dad took into the basement and locked her in there, she had 7 children by him and 1didnt live (well i wont repeat on here its just too sick to say)..... but 6 are left, 3 eldest were told to the community that they were dumped by mother.. and the other 3 lived with her in a padded cell... when the eldest girl collapsed and went to hospital and still in a coma thats how they found out about the 24 years of abuse... the papers did seem to mention the mother new all along what was happening to her daughter from her husband ....
i hope they throw away the key, just sick it is,

Rosi Glow, I heard that too. Some of the children were allowed to live a 'normal' life, some not, that was such an unfair decision he made. The doctors don't think the eldest girl, now in hospital, will ever be fully well again.
The mother managed to sneak a note into the girl's pocket before she went to hospital, asking for help. Thank God it was found by the right people.
I am glad the father is admitting his wrongdoing - it will make things a bit easier to uncover the full details.

I think I heard on the news that a letter from the childs mother was found in the childs pocket when he was admitted to hospital..

Catherine from Manchester

Catherine from Manchester Report 28 Apr 2008 16:18

the reason he was apparently found out is one of the children the eldest was very sick and taken to hospital and the authorities pleaded with the community and other countries for the mother to come forward cos they could not find out why they was sick. then it's all come out. bit conflicting reports, mainly due to the translations I think.

Some of the children had never seen daylight before...Thats mindblowing.

How could his wife not hear nothing for 24 years?

what worries me-if this has been going on for over 24yrs-what is going on now in the world that may not come to light for another 20yrs.
