I have an Aunt who still lives in Peel Green......My mum was born and bred.....in College road right opp where ladywell hospital was....I have family who live near where talk of the north used to be and my cousin lives near the Horse and packet.....and her dad used to drink in the Dutton Arms... the rest are dog rough ...ooooo and a really old great Aunt and cousin who live in Winton is winton ?

Hi Hayley, its Winton (nowhere near as posh as Monton!!) Have you been to West One, on the grounds of the old Ladywell?? That is quite nice. I have heard of The Talk of The North - now I believe that WAS rough!!

Dianne, my mum and dad live in the street just next to Pyramid Court - Murray Street. Pyramid Court is just directly in front of their back garden. Small world!!

I don't think I am convinced with the posh Cheshire bit, I had a friend who lived in Winsford!!!!

I think it may be Winsford.....My Aunt lives in a right posh house....

My ancestor was William Mason who came from Dent in Dentdale, but moved to Co Durham in about 1780.

His childrens 1800 and 1805 baptisms give his place of origin which was Dent as a lot of Durham PRs were quite informative by listing parents place of births. He died after 1811 but I cannot find his burial as there was a Willm Mason born in 1747 in Dent.
