Here in Herts it's raining & a bit windy - don't know if this is before or after the BIG storm!

here in lancs, we seem to be on the edge
of it the wind is gusting, maybe we still have
more to come, just watching the news and the
winds are to continue.

What storm!

I either slept through it or it didnt hit the West Country yet.

Local radio was making a really big thing of it throughout yesterday but apart from a five minute wonder early eve (before sat pics showing it hitting uk) I think its been fine(ish). Everything still standing and everything left in garden where it was when I went to bed.

On the BBC website it said it has peaked in Devon & Cornwall - you must have slept through it :-)

All ok from the storm.. high tide is at 8.50 am and is expected to bring flooding to this area... I am hoping it will be minimal here, though I have prepared for the worst... rather be safe than sorry. The storm ditches are looking pretty low still, so fingers crossed! I'm off for a shower and brekkie..... just in case, lol!!

It's gone from the sublime to the ridiculous here in Essex.
I have just got to work and the water is pouring through the roof... run out of buckets!

All seems fairly calm, just soggy and gusty....lots of flights delayed or diverted though

I haven't heard a train for a while... the London Cardiff line is just a spit and a lick away... and is between us and the coastal defence wall... wonder if they have been stopped too? I haven't seen anything..

the rain is lashing down here, in east sussex, and very !!!windy, hope i can walk up to the village later , without being blown off my feet, ,,,oh,dear ,the light flashing up and down , notgood, iris

Blowing a gale and chucking down here on East kent Coast, I;ve got to get to work somehow.

Daff..................my son-in-law is a train driver........some trains have been cancelled.

We are fine in Hereford windy/rain on and off all night but not as bad as a few weeks ago.

Very windy and wet here but OK - some of my fence panels look a bit dodgy! Had two short power blips earlier.

just heard they had a landslide between Helensburgh and Gaerlochead?.... used to be my old stomping ground..

Good Morning all
We seem to have weathered the first onslaught ok. Was up a few times in the night(usual thing) and heard the wind whipping around the side of the house. One flowerpot down and mini greenhouse a bit battered but apart from that here in north Bristol, are okay.

Glad all ok with you Maddie - hope OH got in ok?

Best of luck to one and all for the rest of the day.
Off to work in an hour so better go get ready! OH has to do deliveries in Wales today so am keeping my fingers crossed he will be ok along with any other delivery drivers.
